"Oi." Overhaul knocked on your door. It had been a few minutes that were awfully silent. He had left you alone to change into your sleeping garments. Hearing a soft thud followed by a groan, he was just about to force the door open till you told him all was well.

"I'm fine! I just l-lost balance." Landing on your side was indeed painful. Massaging the pain away, you finally gained a bit of strength to stand up and put on his jacket. Opening the door, he too had already changed into his sleeping wear. Nothing too different from the previous set he wore.

"The couch is ready."

After dinner, the both of you had made an agreement. Knowing you might vomit and need assistance, it would be much better for the both of you to sleep in the living room. The futon you kept hidden now lay beside your small area. Just below it to make sure he was within reach if anything were to happen.

Trailing behind you, he was more than ready to catch you should you lose balance again. Luckily, you were now laying down and nestled onto the blanket. Remembering that you were to take medication before bed, he went to the dining table and took the neon pink bag Gei had handed over.

"Remember. Let her take this only, ONLY, when you're sure she's about to go to sleep." Gei said as he gave the bag. Accepting the monstrosity, he looked at the doctor only to be met with a rather... playful smirk. "Or not. If you're curious what her deepest thoughts are."

Glancing at the clock, it was still rather early and the TV was now on. Being the gentleman that he is, he placed the tablet back and zipped the bag. Remembering that he had to get an update from Chrono, he took his phone and sat on one of the chairs.

"How's everything there?"

"The usual. Things are under control. The production is still on schedule." Chrono reported. In front of him was a trembling Eri who looked confused as to why she was given a new toy without the process of dying and regenerating. "We also got her a new toy. The person we sent out said he was being trailed by some hero again."

"I see." He rested his chin on his palm. "The heroes won't be expecting the sudden lull in our movements. Keep doing what you're doing Chrono."

"Is that why you took up the caretaking position?"

"It's a situation the heroes will not be prepared for. Gei gave me an alias so it's relatively safe."

"Alright. I'll send out Mimic to be on the lookout tonight."

Ending the call, he tucked his phone back into his pocket and went towards the futon. Taking a seat, he stretched his leg and stared at the show. It was a musical, The Ghost of the Opera, if he wasn't mistaken from the scene. A look of disgust formed on his face when he saw where they were heading too.

"Who would take a person down into the sewers?" He thought out loud. Earning a giggle from you.

"Apparently, The Ghost."

"The torches even look like they're moving from the woman's perspective." He shook his head.

"Okay then," You slid down and sat beside him. His eyes remained focused on the screen. "Where would you take a girl if given the chance?"

"Somewhere sterile and free from fumes like that." He looked at you and back at the screen. "Probably to dinner. Somewhere private."

"Boring." You rolled your eyes.

"As if you even have the time to go out and mingle with men or women."

"Fair enough. But you are definitely not in the position to comment."
