haven't you realised it yet? that your body is a weapon, your mind a weapon, your teeth as sharp as daggers and your smile deadly as a bullet. it is at once the most powerful thing you have, your body, and your greatest weakness; your body is at once yours and everyone else's, ripe for the taking but thorny all over. a mirror, broken, beautiful as a mosaic but all the shards will pierce the skin and tear it open.
to whom is it so dangerous and fragile both? why, to everyone! it gets taken from you and given back bruised and bloody, and you'll offer it back like a poisoned chalice and they will take a sip. and to everyone else the bullets are flying in all directions, too, aren't they? they look at you and see danger to them, you look in the mirror and see danger to yourself, and no one is safe, least of all you.
and what then? when everyone is bleeding out on the floor through forced smiles made of bared teeth?
then, you get up from the crowd, you smile, and you take your leave. you pack your things and set out for another city until you aren't a threat anymore, and then you die.
