This book takes place during/after Crash and Burn but it can be read as a stand alone.
If you're from Crash and Burn, this story line is not going to make that much sense. The boys are going to meet, but Luke being in a coma? not really here, but all of his medical issues are. Basically just forget about the other book while reading this one except for a few chapters :)
