Ian strangled the glass in his hand, his eyes looking very capable of burning a hole through my torso. I didn't care though, I continued with my lap dance on the random man I had come across while ordering a drink at the bar. I had no interest in the man I was dancing on but he was the catalyst I needed in my plan to push Ian to the edge.

He was livid—burning with jealousy..I could see it written all over his face. The drink in his hand was finished in seconds and in a fit of rage he tossed it to the ground. The sound of the glass making impact with the floor got everyone's attention as they turned to look at him.

Kyson also reappeared after vanishing for the majority of the night. He stood with the other spectators shocked and trying to make sense of the situation.

Before I knew it, Ian roughly grabbed a hold of my wrist and walked me out of the bar. I tried to speak against it but was silenced by his icy tone.

"Don't."

I shivered, his voice sounding authoritative.

We found Emphraim and Rhys waiting by the car. Emphraim wore a vague expression as he looked between Ian and I  and Rhys on the other looked amused.

"I won't be needing your services tonight."

He said simply walking past them,  opening the car door for me before ordering me to get in. I got in the passenger side and Ian reached forward , pulled out my seatbelt and strapped me in.

"Are we going to talk about what happened because-"

The sound of the car engine roaring to life cut me off. Silence filled the vehicle the entire ride and the route he was taking looked unfamiliar to me but I was too scared to say anything about it so I sat patiently and waited.

I drummed my fingers against my jittering leg. I knew how this worked by now. I'd crossed him and that meant he was going to retaliate; what I didn't know though was how and that bit petrified me.

We drove into a secluded neighborhood in the woods; each house covering acres and acres of land. It was the type of neighbourhood you'd expect famous Hollywood actors to live in. For a second I was convinced he was going to murder me there then dispose of my body in the lake that surrounded the area.

I had been too busy admiring the other houses that I hadn't noticed we were parked in front of what I assumed was his house. The other houses had impressed me but Ian's left me speechless. It was immensely big like the rest but entirely made of glass. I could see the whole set up from where I stood, the interior making me question whether Ian was secretly an interior designer because it immaculate.

"Follow me."

His stern voice, yanked me out of my little bubble back to reality. At the front door he typed in a code and the doors automatically opened on their own. Who knew money could buy you magical doors?

I didn't have time to fully taken in the house because I was following behind Ian and he walked fast. We ended up in his bedroom, which was the size of three dorm rooms combined and looked a fancy hotel room. Frantically he loosened his tie and fastened his sleeves.

"Nice room." I said trying to lighten the mood but the look on his face told me nothing I said at this point would make him less mad.

"Stand against the wall."

I looked around the room trying to find who he was talking to because there was no way he was talking to me. "Excuse me?"

"You heard me. Now do I have to force you or will you do it willingly?

I heaved in a breath before talking. "Look Ian, I don't know who the hell you think you are but—"

In an instant, I was pinned up against the wall, his hand covering my mouth. My heart rate picked up its speed and when he saw the panic in my eyes he slowly eased off.

"Don't move a muscle. I'll be right back."

When he made his way out of the room, I scanned the room looking for possible escape routes. I had two options, stay and face his wrath or run and take on a new identity whilst living in a different country.

Time wasn't on my side because he was back before I got to execute my plan. He carried glasses lined up on a tray. He set them down on his silver table before picking one up and staring at it.

"Now this will go smoothly if you tell the truth and  do exactly as I say but if you don't well then I'm sorry in advance."

I placed my palm flat against the wall I stood against, trying to get a sense of security. "I don't like this. Please just let me go home."

"You're not going anywhere until I say so."

Ian raked his fingers through his now tossled hair as he restlessly paced about the room. When he finally stopped, he put his arm over his head and took off the shirt he had on in one swift motion. Black ink covered most of his upper chest and I was taken aback by it because he didn't seem like the type to want to get tattoos. Eyeing the glasses lined up he proceeded to pick one up and twirling it in his hands.

"Who was that man you were dancing on tonight?"

Strands of hair fell across his face as he began to look more and more like a mad man on the loose.

"Ian I don't know him..he was just—"

"Don't lie to me!" He roared.

I inched back into the wall as the glass few across the room, shattering just above my head.

"Why are you doing this?" My hands were now shielding my face in fear of the next attack.

"Why do you think, Adalia?" He picked up another glass.

Like the flip of a switch my fear had turned into hate, I loathed the man that stood in front of me. I would have done anything in that moment to make sure he could feel an inch of what I felt for him.

It didn't register to me what I was saying I just wanted to hurt him and it didn't matter how.

"No matter how much you push, no matter how much you insist. I will never love you because you're a monster and you're a lousy excuse of a man!"

Another glass hit the wall but this time  I wasn't so lucky. A piece scraped my cheek and I began to bleed. I yelped in pain and he rushed to my side, grabbed my chin forcefully trying to examine the wound. I tried to fight him off but failed miserably, his strength was unbelievable.

"Don't touch me!" I still kept trying to push him away.

"I own you. Your body, your soul, your time. Don't for one second forget that and I can do with you as I please."

"Loook at me!" He growled, grabbing a hold of my chin.

"Is this your idea of love?" I said through a sob. "Why won't you just let me be?"

Stumbling backwards, he fell on his knees. He raked his fingers through his hair, his eyes red and teary. "I'm sorry..."

Quickly he stood up and before I knew it he was out the door.

Where are you going?" I called out to him but got no response back.

I don't know why I just sat there. I had the chance to get away yet I was still rooted in the same spot. I had gone in too deep. Now I wasn't sure if I wanted to find my way back to the surface.
