It was destiny- chapter 3

3rd person pov

After they finish the pancakes. Oncie cleans up and Greed goes ahead and gets dressed. He hears the door open as he tucks in his shirt and pulling up his suspenders. He can feel his eyes gazing on himself as he continues with the coat. Not realizing that the note falls out rolling under the bed. He buttons his coat and turns around to see the younger quickly walk past him to find his clothes. By the time he finds them greed is already out of the room so he just changes.

He remembers the note after getting dressed and reaches down to retrieve it. Hmm odd I've never seen this handwriting before, Oncie thinks. I quickly opens and reads it. "Where did the name beanpole come from? And who calls him that?" The Onceler says in a whisper. "I'll ask later I guess" he says pocketing the note and walking into the main room of the house to find Greedler washing the dishes.

Greeds pov

I decided I'd wash the dishes for him to be nice. "Thanks greed" Oncie says from behind him. He nods "I thought I'd be nice and do them for you". He finishes up and walks over to Onceler. "Have a good day trying to sell it. Like I said it took me a few days so don't sweat it if you don't sell it today." He says about 2 feet away from him. Onceler doesn't move an inch just staring at him for a minute. "What? What's on your mind dear?" Greed says only slightly concerned.

"Oh nothing just I don't know. Have any advice?" He says looking away rubbing the back of his neck. "Umm I don't know find a highly populated area and oh take your guitar and sing about the thneed" I says nodding as a way to confirm what I say. He just nods and wraps the thneed around his neck and grabbing his guitar. "Welp I'll be back around 4-4:30 I'll bring some food for supper" he says walking out the door. I just nod in acknowledgement.

I look over at the counter and see the 4 pancakes left and decide to go give them to the animals and wonder around a bit. I grab the plate and walk outside to give them to the animals. I notice right away how bright it is and cover my eyes for a second adjusting to the light. Then walking over to a group of bears and fish and birds and lay the plate down sitting next to them. They really are majestic.

I try not to think about how I fucked everything up but it keeps getting back into my mind. Pipsqueek walks over and sits next to me eating a bit of pancake. I just simply pat his head. I pick up the plate with about one and a half pancakes left and go to evenly distribute them. I walk for a while until I find a few bar-ba-loots and humming fish.

I kneel down again to feed them tearing off a piece and handing them out without paying attention to who grabs them. After half way through I hear a voice "oh yum just as good as when you made them!" He says munching on a piece. I was caught off hairs to say the least.

3rd person pov

Greed snaps his head towards the voice recognizing it immediately. "W-what? Where'd you come from?" He says visibly confused. The Lorax looks at him after finishing his pancake piece. "Well, you didn't follow my advice. And I was still watching your every move after I 'left'. And you didn't care about what you did or was doing. Or at least you didn't show it. So I brought you back as punishment to fix your mistake. You really thought not cutting the trees would stop me from stopping you again?" He says walking closer to the taller of the two.

"I-I felt bad, sometimes. It only made me keep biggering and making my business grow, so of course I didn't show it!" He said now slightly angry that his conspiracy was true. "All you had to do was not let me cut anymore tree with your 'powers' you keep saying you have! You could've stopped me but you didn't!" He said now slightly yelling.
