Life is good as a Leedo stan.
Ever since he got promoted, he was starting to act different. Acting like he was the most important, like he owned the company already. The job he now was assigned to payed him greatly, way more than before, and he had an important function now, but was that really a reason for his behaviour?
It started out with small, more serious responses for your questions. He casually went from a bubbly answer to a simple one. At first you didn't think much of it, but it started to get more and more obvious the longer it went on.
It wasn't like it was a complete bad thing though. Sometimes you caught him talking to himself in the bathroom mirror in a stern voice, his expression cold and brows unmoving as he talked. As soon as he got out of the bathroom, however, he was back to being his cute and cuddly self. He had also told you he got more talkative with his coworkers and he was more confident in showing his work to the people above him, which was a good sign.
It wasn't like he acted like that all the time, either. He was still sweet and goofy, the total opposite of what you were guessing was his demeanour at work. Your image of him was that, as soon as he stepped inside the company building, he got into that role. But under all that, he was still your boyfriend. You knew he only acted like that to play the part.
So here you were, driving on medium speed towards the building he worked at, a plastic back sitting on the passenger's seat next to you with the small container for his lunch of the day inside of it. He had forgotten it that morning and you decided to not let him suffer and drop it off for him. And maybe you also wanted to see his new workspace and how he actually was during his hours, but that was just a small thought at the back of your mind.
You drove up to the building and parked your silver car in an empty slot, before getting out and locking it. When you entered the building you asked the receptionist for the right floor, and when you got there you were met with people talking and calling, all wearing suits and their hair slicked back with too much gel for your liking.
You just ignored them, walking past and towards the room you had to deliver the plastic bag to. When you found the right room number you peeked through the glass on each side of the door, just to be sure your guy was in the and when you saw him, you raised your hand to softly knock before you opened the door.
You stepped into the room quietly, seeing Geonhak sitting behind a large desk, paperwork scattered out in front of him. His blonde hair was smooth and fell over his forehead neatly, a small set of earrings dangling from his ear. He looked up when he finished writing and a smile immediately appeared on his face once his eyes fell on you.
"Baby," He said in that deliciously deep voice of his. "What are you doing here?"
You returned the smile and held up the plastic bag. "You forgot your lunch." You replied as you approached the desk. "Whatcha doing?"
"Working on some papers they wanted me to fill out." He told you. "It's not a big deal, it's just to confirm me working on this function and all that drama."
You set the bag down on the desk and looked around. The room had white walls, a black carpet, a few paintings on the walls and large glass panes covered a part of the wall behind the desk. "Well you do have a nice office, honestly."
Geonhak followed you with his eyes as you walked around the room, testing the couch in the corner and taking everything in with a soft smile on your face. You were proud of him, to say the least. And how could you not? He went from having a middle paid job to such a big deal in just a year.
"I know right!" He said excitedly. "I can even see the sunset from up here." He said as he spun around in his chair, facing the glass window looking over half the city. You walked up to him and placed a hand on the glass. You were pretty high up and even though you didn't really had a good thing going with heights, you had to admit the view was worth it.
"When it's there make sure to snap a picture for me, I really wanna see that." You said, looking the city life down at the ground. Geonhak blinked a few times. "You could just stay here y'know."
You looked back at him and shook your head. "Nah you gotta work, don't wanna disturb you."
He scoffed at your words, shaking his head as well, his blonde hair flopping just a little with the movement. "It's okay, I can talk to you and still get work done. It's not much today and besides, I'm all alone otherwise."
You turned away from the glass and furrowed your eyebrows. "You sure?"
"Of course I am. Babe you can just sit on the couch, look around, draw something ridiculous on the note pads on my desk.. you can literally sit in my lap while I work and I'll work around you. I promise it's fine, I'm not-"
Then suddenly the door opened and an important looking guy came walking in. He had brown hair with glasses pressed up on his nose, not a single dent in his expensive looking suit. Geonhak immediately stopped talking, his expression going from a smile to a serious one in mere seconds.
"Mr.Kim," The man spoke, eyes set on the blonde and not even sparing you a glance. "I have some papers for you and I expect them on my desk next morning." The brunette had a bunch of papers in his hands and he let them fall down on the desk when he reached it.
"Of course, Mr.Byun. I'll make sure they're filled out, attached together and laying on your desk before you enter your office tomorrow." Geonhak stated, reaching out for a pen and turning the papers to face him. The brunette nodded and turned around to walk away, but stopped when he saw you standing there. His eyes furrowed and he glanced over at Geonhak.
"This your girl?" He asked with a raised eyebrow. Geonhak kept a firm expression and nodded. "Yes sir."
Mr.Byun looked you over once before he turned to the door again. "Don't make her distract you." He said without glancing back. The blonde nodded. "No sir."
As soon as the door fell close behind the guy you smiled, chuckling slightly. Geonhak blinked and looked over at you. "What's so funny?"
You shook your head and approached him. "Nothing. Just the way you went into CEO mode as soon as he came walking in. I didn't know you took it that seriously."
"Well.. I have to." He replied, cold demeanour gone as he looked at you. "I just want them to not regret putting me on this function, y'know. I have to act a bit tough to get somewhere here."
You smiled softly and rounded the desk, reaching to push at his shoulder a bit and he got the message, rolling his chair back a bit so you could slip between the desk and him, sitting on his thighs sideways.
"Babe, no matter what function they put you on, they did it with a reason. They wouldn't have put you here if they didn't see the potential in you." You told him as you played with the buttons of his white button-up. "Just try and do the work but also try to just relax a little. It'll be fine, promise."
Geonhak smiled a little at your words, a soft chuckle leaving his lips as well. "Thank you babe." He said and pressed a kiss to your forehead. He grabbed the pen correctly in his hand and reached for the first sheet from the stack of papers and sighed, ready to the work done while you sat snugly on his lap to watch him work.
