Just Like That! [ A Carryminati & Manan FF ]

9:00 p.m.

Guffawing with his friend Tanmay and elder brother Yash, Ajey settled in one of the corner tables of the exquisite looking restaurant.

Still grinning from ear to ear, Ajey commented "oh bhai kya maaza aya aaj Pubg khelne mein!!!...ek ke baad ek kills aa rahe the!!!...uff maaza hi alag tha!!!"

A thrilled Tanmay admitted "haan yaar...tune toh aaj aag hi laaga diya tha!!!...bhai doo chicken dinner jeete hai aaj toh!!...issi khushi mein aaj bill main pay karunga !!!"

Concluding this all three of them got busy with the food and time to time kept on pulling each other’s leg.

Ajey was occupied in gulping his second drink of vodka, when he beheld a young woman in her formals, settling down on their neighbouring table.

Observing the white coat in the girl’s hand, Ajey inferred that she was a doctor.

No doubt the girl was charming, but then something more was there beyond her pretty face.

Involuntarily, Ajey started taking a mental note of her actions.

Ten minutes into his secret ogling session, Ajey saw a guy approaching that girl.

Pouting like a baby Ajey tried to concentrate on his food, ignoring the existence of the annoying guy, with that pretty girl.

On the other side…

Lifting up her head, Malar found a lanky guy trudging up to her table.

As the guy approached her, he extended his hand for a handshake and said "Nick here!...and you must be the beautiful Malar.."

Giving a plastic smile, Malar said “yeah...please take a seat!!"

To Malar's relief, the guy sat on the opposite chair, instead of sitting beside her.

After ordering all sorts of unappetizing food, the guy tried to initiate a conversation "so...when did you return from London??"

Sounding a bit aloof, Malar acknowledged “one week ago…"

The guy queried further "aage ka kya plan hai???"

With lethargy clear in her voice, Malar replied "planning to stay dedicated to my work!!!"

Before the conversation could make any progress, the guy received a call.

Disconnecting the call after two minutes the guy excused himself on the pretext of some work and left, but not before promising Malar to meet again. On which Malar couldn't stop herself from rolling her eyes.

Once the guy was out of sight, Malar heaved a sigh of relief.

Sitting at a distance, the whole situation seemed like an animated movie to Ajey, minus the sound effects.

Right after the annoying looking guy left, Ajey observed an ease in the facial expressions of the girl.

Relaxing a bit, Malar untied her high bun, letting her hair loose. Then she called one of the waiters and directed "bhaiya yeh khaana le jaiye...and bring me my regular stuff…”

Giving her a warm smile the waiter left from there.

Ajey was non-stop gaping at her with a daze as if she was some sort of an enchantress.

Tanmay : Carry kya hua??? ...tu kaha khoya hua sa hai???...khaana pasand nehi aya kya tujhe???

Yash who had been a mute spectator till then, finally uttered "baju ke table wali ko dekhna bannd karega...tabhi toh naa yeh khaane pein concentrate karega!!!!!"

Tanmay chucked and said "ohhhhh...toh yeh scene hai!!!...waise main bhi toh dekhu akhir bhabhi kaisi dikhti hai???"

Shooing them away, Ajey said "bhabhi baan ne ke liye woh single honi chahiye naa!!!"

Stealing glances at their adjacent table, Tanmay said "she is beautiful!!!...tujhe mera full support hai Carry...jaa jee le aapni zindagi!!!"

The waiter bought a medium sized pizza with pepperoni toppings and a can of coke for Malar.

A famished Malar started devouring her food.

Malar's eating session was interrupted by the constant buzzing of her phone.

But taking a peek at the caller idea, Malar decided to ignore it.

Malhotra Manor

Walking to and fro, Nyonika helplessly kept on dialling Malar's number.

A troubled Nyonika said to Manik "yeh ladki phone hi nehi utha rahi hai!!”

Grabbing his car keys, a resolute Manik proclaimed "main Malar ko ghar wapas laane jaa raha hu!!!"

Meanwhile in the restaurant, on finishing her food, Malar stood up to leave.

Moving towards the billing counter Malar requested the manager for her bill.

Manager : itni raat gaye beta...ghar nehi gayi???

Malar ( smiling ) : nehi uncle...bass aaj night shift hai hospital mein!!!

Just after Malar left, Ajey and his buddies reached the manger to interrogate him.

Sensibly Ajey framed his question “yaha aas paas koi hospital hai kya?”

Focusing on them with apprehension, the manager stated “haan…saamne hi ek hospital hai!!!...anything serious???”

Ajey nervously cross examined “nehin …darsal joh ladki abhi yaha se gayi….woh bhi ussi hospital ki doctor hai kya??”

Thinking a bit the manager said "ji haan….woh uss hospital mein psychiatrist ka kaam karti hai!!!"

On hearing this Ajey, Yash and Tanmay gave each other a quizzical look.

Eying the trio with suspicion, the manager questioned "waise aap log uss bacchi ke bareme itna kyon pouch rahe hai???...aap log kaun hai???"

To cover it up, Tanmay instantly said "arrey uncle woh ladki jaani pehchaani si laag rahi thi...issliye pouch liya!!!"

Stating this, the trio fled from there.
