The red crisp circle in the evening sky of Mica Lauga, illuminated the thin wavery river. Franklin Burk, rode a black horse on the river bank which galloped all the way till he noticed something in the distance,or rather someone. Franklin was in his usual half sleeved white collared shirt and a formal white pant with a black leather belt hugging his waist. With his athletic sock and a black loafer, he looked like the protagonist of American movies. He was puzzled to believe his sight. A young boy in his early teen, stood weeping in his loose tees and short trousers. He had the same scar in his neck, that Franklin owned. Franklin was sure enough to visualize, that the boy was him when he was 12. He went clueless when he saw an old man with a wrinkled face, right next to the young boy. He smiled at Franklin as his eyes glowed like a diamond. Suddenly, he heard a buzz. “Ah! Here I go again. My imaginations are way more interesting than reality”, he said to himself. “Mr. Franklin Burk, your medium sized chicken pizza costs 80 bucks”, told the delivery man.
Franklin was a tall guy with a thin frame and his hair colour resembled the colour of an old tree bark. His knife shaped scar in his neck, below his right ear frightened the people. He was good in managing to cover the scars with a collared shirt. His thick black brows were always crossed since few tragic events happened in his life. But, Franklin was a soft hearted and a humble guy at his 24.
12 years after his brother Adian's death, he visited the home where he grew up. The home had not undergone a single change, since he was joined. The walls would get a new shade for every couple of years. Pope Alphonse Bernett was the head of the home back then. He, along with his son and daughter in law had rendered great financial and mental support to the children.
“12 years have passed, Franklin. The only guilt that haunts me is,not being able to find you a family”, said Mr. Karl. “Mr. Karl, I am sorry for not paying you a visit in these 7 years. You had made me to overcome the biggest trauma . After losing my brother, it made me realize that no matter how close we are attached to someone, there will always be a situation where they will get detached” said Franklin in a broken voice. “Happens,my son. Did you hear anything from Michael?” “Who is Michael? “ he asked . “Your elder brother. Have you forgotten again?” “ Yeah, Mr. Karl. Adian's thoughts run all over my mind all the time. Michael's existence has just faded away.” “Once, Michael paid me a visit on his 21st birthday. After eloping from this home, a Russian family had adopted him. He also gave me his address. Maybe, you could drop by to see him today”, Mr. Karl told and handed over a torn sheet with his Italic font. “Thank you so much,Mr. Karl. I hope I'll be back with a great news.” Mr. Karl laughed. “I was not only your janitor, but also a good father. I always saw you three like my own sons.”
Franklin took off and saw the address. It was Northern Farmhedge ,50 miles away from there. Franklin decided to meet his brother. He took a bus from there and started his journey. After he reached the town, he noticed that the place barely had a road. “Ah! Excuse me. Where can I find No 23 Cranewall road?” he asked. “ Keep going this way, till the road becomes a dead end. You will find this place towards your left”, replied a gentleman. Franklin thanked him and made his way. The house was beautifully painted in blood red colour. The gates made a screeching noise as he opened it. There was a pretty set of potted plants on either sides of the way from the gate to the front door. As he admired the Russian art on the front door,he pressed the calling bell.
