Can't. Keep. Eyes. Open

Day 2, feels like I've been doing this for a month. At least, I got an extra hour of sleep on my way this morning. The grumbling of my stomach just reminded me I haven't had anything to eat in almost 24 hours. If I'm going to survive this, I have to plan out a better schedule for myself. Reaching into my laptop bag, I take out my journal and a pen.

Weekdays

*̶ ̶W̶a̶k̶e̶ ̶u̶p̶ ̶4̶:̶3̶0̶

*Wake up 5 a.m; cut out make-up

*Leave home 5:30; sleep on the drive to work

*Stop at a food shop close to the office to get food or snacks

*Get to work 7 a.m

*Eat breakfast and take a little nap till resumption

*Resume 9 and get as many deliverables done as possible before midday

*Take a one-hour lunch break at 12

*Roundup on deliverables till 5 p.m

*Get a cab to Dad's office

*Take a nap till 8 p.m (time dad closes)

*Grab a snack on the way home and sleep through the drive.

All these combined little naps should keep me alive till I quit. Oh yeah, about that. I plan to leave this hell in 3 months anyway. I'm applying for my master's program this year, I should get out of here by January. The hope of finally moving away from this country should get me going.

"Hi Rahinna, good morning"

"Hi, good morning" I guess I should learn people's names. Looking up I see people have gotten in, I must have gotten carried away with my thought. I hope i didn't look too crazy sitting here and plotting my escape.

"Hi, Rahinna. I'm Mitch, I work with the media team."

"Hi, Mitch. Nice to meet you, do you need something?"

"Oh, yeah. I need to get your picture taken for your ID" he replies waving the camera in my face. I wish I knew this before coming in today, I could have put in a little bit of effort, now ill just have to live with another terrible ID photo"

"Sure, give me a minute. I'd join you soon".

Nobody needs this many lights for a random office ID card. By the time I join Mitch at his station, there are close to 10 lights pointing at where I'm supposed to stand. I don't think the president needs this many lights for his headshot. Or maybe he does? I should google that and check.

"Rahinna"

Oh yeah, time for an awkward picture. I really hate getting my picture taken. Close to an hour, frustration on both our sides and random smile exercises later. I think there's one picture I can live with.
