Chapter 9

I backed away. The man in front of me was tall and muscular. He had short grey hair and soft blue eyes.
"Sorry." I said. What the hell I was the Alpha! Why was I scared of him?
"Nothing to be sorry about Alpha." I stepped around him. He watched me carefully. Something made me feel weird about him.

I snuck away from him. I could feel the shudder go through me. I walked back to my room. I was glad that man had took my mine from Roseanne for a while. Grief was suffocating me. I went for a quick shower. I leaned my head against the tiles.
"Alpha!" I heard someone shout. I ignored them. I must have been in the shower for 3o minutes now.
"Alpha it's Alexandra." I sighed. Great something to remind me of Roseanne. I stepped out the shower and wrapped a towel around my waist.

I opened the door. Alexandra gasped a and closed her eyes.
"Wow! Put some clothes on." I rolled my eyes.
"What is it?" I asked.
"I thought you might want to talk about Roseanne I mean I need sometime to talk about it and Lyra, well she's just too young to understand." I stared at the floor.
"Yeah I need someone to talk to. I'll get dressed and then we'll talk." I closed the bathroom door and out on my jeans and a t-shirt. When I get out the bathroom. Alexandra is sitting crossed legged on the bed.

"Hey." I smiled at her and sat across from her.
"Hey," she said. "Listen before we start I just want you to know if you feel uncomfortable just tell me."
"It's OK I need this." I said.
"OK well... where do we start." Alexandra said.
"How about you tell me who you guys met." I said.
"Yeah. Well it was the first day of school and well I was totally shy I didn't want to talk to anyone. So Roseanne came over to me. I actually started screaming when she did. She just laughed and tried to talk to me. I calmed down a bit and we became friends and we've been best friends ever since." Alexandra smiled.

"Oh." I said. Talking about Roseanne was harder than I thought. Whenever Alexandra said her name I pictured her lying on the bed lifeless, cold. I shop the picture from my mind. Alexandra shuddered. "Maybe this wasn't such a good idea." Alexandra noted. I nodded. It wasn't.
"I'm going to go see her want to come?" I shook my head. She nodded and left.

I rubbed my temples and bright my knees to my chest. I rocked back and forth trying to calm myself. I was getting too worked up. I shouldn't have let Alexandra talk me into talking about Roseanne. I rested my chin on my knees. The pack was losing their Luna and their Alpha but I didn't care right now. I couldn't be Alpha when I was in this state.

I heard a knock. "Jayden." I scowled. It was Lyra.
"Yeah Lyra." I said as she opened the door.
"Hi," she said.
"Hey." I said. She rocked back and forth on her heels.
"How have you been?" she asked.
"Honestly?" I sighed. "Terrible. You?" Lyra shrugged. She twisted her finger around her thick black braid.
"I guess I feel horrible but I have faith in her she'll fight." Lyra said. I sometimes forget she isn't such a little girl after all. "I mean I know there's a chance she won't wake up but there's a chance she will." I nodded.

She sat next to me on the bed.
"You know she loved you." Lyra said. "She's never been happier ever since she met you but she's always with you she never talks to me anymore. I guess you could say I'm a bit jealous but I'm happy for her." I stared at her.
"Oh Lyra I didn't mean to take her from you." Lyra shook her head.

Lyra got up and walked over to the window.
"I stole her diary." Lyra admitted.
"You what's?" I said.
"When she first went into a coma I snapped around and found a diary." Lyra turned to me. "I'll go get it." Lyra disappeared. Could I really read her diary. I waited for her to come back.

She slipped through the door and handed me a red leather book with diary on it in silver writing. She smiled and left. I opened the first page cautiously.

Dear Diary,
I don't know what to do this boy Jayden Austin the Alpha as been claiming in his mate. I don't disbelieve him. I get butterflies in my stomach every time I look at him. I feel my knees go weak. He might be my mate or I just have a stupid crush on him. Anyway why would someone like him ever want me? I'm not exactly beautiful. I mean I'm not ugly I'll admit but I'm defiantly not beautiful. Jayden is perfect. He's gorgeous. I wonder if he is my mate and if he is will he ever love me?

I feel the tear threaten to spill over my cheeks. I bit my lip. I closed the diary. She didn't believe I would live her. I suddenly got a burst of anger. I threw the diary at the door letting out a cry as I did. I laid back and groaned. I got up and put some shoes on. I walked straight towards the hospital. I stepped into her room. Lyra stood beside her.

"I'm sorry Roseanne I gave Jayden your diary but he won't read it he wouldn't do that." Lyra said.
"Hey Lyra." I said. She turned.
"Oh hi Jayden," she fiddled with her braid then left quickly. I pulled up a chair next to Roseanne.
"Hey Roseanne." I said as I held her hand. It was warming than usual. I smiled. She was coming back. The doctor stepped into the room.
"Doc how's she doing?" I said.
"Well Alpha she's stable but we're still not a hundred percent sure." I nodded. I turned to Roseanne.
"Come on baby wake up." I said clear her midnight black hair from her pale face.

He face was much paler than usual she was usually quite sun kissed but now she was pale as paper. Her black hair looked strange with her pale face. she didn't have her normal pinkish tint I. Her cheeks either. Oh god I missed her.
"Come one Roseanne wake up." I begged quietly.

"Alpha." Marc came into the room.
"What's wrong?" I said.
"Alexandra is missing."

So Roseanne's in a coma. Probably quite a sad chapter. It still hoped you like it. Where do you think Alexandra went?
