Part 1: The Notification

Hello my name is Alexander. Everyone calls me Alex. I'm a famous teen Instagram live-streamer. I'm better know as @alextalkz. But anyway so I've been streaming for some time now. About a year has passed since I've started and I've gained over a million followers. And ever since quarantine started, more and more people watch my live-streams.

On my live-streams I mainly come up with stories, such as science fiction, or I talk about the actual difficulties of being black and LGBT in America. It's pretty fun and I've mainly gotten positive reactions from people. They always want me to give more stories or talk more about being a black gay boy in today's society. Of course there is some hate but only a little.

For a month now I've been seeing this same streamer. His name is @J_angels. He is another 16 year old. I've only been able to see his profile picture, which is of a squirrel, and bio, which only gives his age, since his account is private. He would be the first to join my live. He also would be the one that would comment the most. Most of his comments were "great story, your so good at coming up with science fiction," or "you are a very strong person." I always look forward to his nice comments.

Fast forward to today's live stream. I am about to start it. I click the button to start the livestream. 3...2...1 "Hey guys. Wow there's already 100 of you in here! 200...430...1000...2000." I pause to keep watching the numbers climb. I see @J_angels joined. "Ok guys, I see there is already 10,000 viewers so I am going to start talking. I am going to talk about what it's like being a Queer Person of Color. I've talked about this many times before as many of you know. I have gone through hate at school for being flamboyant, or a little bit on the feminine side. I have gone through the type of hate where once I speak up about the homophobia and the bullies get told to stop, they just start making racist jokes towards me and it is disgusting. Luckily, I am at a completely different school now for my tenth grade year. Everyone there has been so nice to me and they are excepting of black and gay people. Now I'm not going to lie but I have only recently been thinking about what it would be like to have a boyfriend." As I say this people are commenting "Awww. That's so sweet Alex." Then I see one comment come from @J_angels. I stop talking to read it. He says, "You are really cute. I've honestly had a crush on you for the longest time."

I continue to talk by saying "I don't necessary have to have one. I am just saying it would be nice to experience it. I know that probably sounds desperate but I'm not saying I need one. Whenever the right guy comes along I'll be here talking to all of you guys, my wonderful supporters. This is a short live because I have to go do some homework now guys but I will definitely make a longer one the next time I stream. I hope you all have a good night."

I ended the live. I got up with my phone in my hand to check my snapchat. Once I go on I get a new notification. It says "Jordan added you." I don't know who Jordan is but I added him back. Then I realized, his snap username is @J_angels. IS THIS THE GUY FROM MY LIVESTREAM? I also remembered that my snap is in my Instagram bio. I should really change that. No one has really even added me, though. I went out of the app with my heart still racing from my confusion and excitement. Then I get a text from Jordan....
