*At Olympus: In front of the Temple of Artemis*

We got their before Artemis and waited for a couple minutes before she showed up, at about midnight.

“Hello Selene, Hypnos.” she said looking at both of us in turn then tuning to me.

“Hello Artemis, what is the matter?” I asked her.

“I am not entirely sure, that's why I need your help.”

“And what do you need me for?” Hypnos asked.

“I need you to put everyone to sleep. What Selene and I will have to do, people will see us. I’ve also asked Morpheus to help, he is already working.” Artemis told him.

“Alright, I will go help him now.” Hypnos said and left.

“So you don't know what's wrong?”

“Not a clue she,” said and we climbed onto her chariot and took off for the moon. Artemis's chariot is the only one that can go to the moon. Hephaestus is still building mine, he is missing a couple crucial materials needed, like moon dust and a combination of mine and Artemis's magic. “We can get the moon dust Hephaestus needs for your chariot while we are up their too.”

*On The Moon*

“It's been a long time sense I’ve had to come here.” I said looking around, their was only supposed to be one other living thing here besides me and Artemis. Leto. Because her parents are the titans Coeus and Phoebe, she was sent to the moon in exile, like all the others, everyone was sent to exile. Artemis and Apollo don't like to talk about her much, they love her, and they do not like the fact that she's in exile on the moon, she's one of the good ones and shouldn't be in exile. “Do you think it could be Leto?”

“I don't know, but I am looking forward to seeing her.” Artemis said closing her eyes and concentrating to find Leto. “Found her, follow me.”

We walked for over an hour before we finally saw her house, we couldn't just flash their because the moon dust magic makes us unable too, and the deer that pull her chariot do not like standing on the moon to wait for her, let alone walk, the don't like getting the moon dust getting in or on their fur and hooves. All the other gods and goddesses can't even come to the moon.

“How much moon dust does Hephaestus need to finish my chariot?” I asked Artemis before we got their.

“Here fill up this bag all the way, then meet me by the gate.” She said handing me a silver bag about the size of my abdomen. I bent down and began to fill it as fast as I could while Artemis continued walking to her mothers home.

When I finished Artemis was waiting for me outside the gate, and when I got their we entered without saying a word. The door opened before we were half way their and Leto walked out carrying a tray with a pitcher of lemonade, three glasses, and a plate of cookies. “Let's sit over here girls, and we can talk.”

“Hello mother.” Artemis said, “But you know we are not here for a social visit.”

“Oh please Artemis, I never have visitors, you two are the only ones who can come here. And Selene doesn't have a chariot to make the trip yet, and even if she did she just got her memories back.”

“How did you know about that?” I asked her.

“Oh honey, Your mom and I have been friends sense I was little, she may not be able to come and visit me but she can call me.” Leto told me sitting down. Giving Artemis and I no choice but to follow.

“Of course, I didn't think about that. I'm still a little off from loosing my memories.” I said sitting down.

“Mother, stop getting off topic. Do you know what is going on with the moon, I need to know.” Artemis said leaning across the table.

“No dear I do not.” Leto said handing her a glass of lemonade. “I've tried to figure it out as well, and I cannot.”

“Well we have to figure it out and fix whatever it is, mortals can't see this, especially the scientists. I have Hypnos and Morpheus putting and keeping everyone asleep until we can solve this and fix it, but we can't keep them out too long or they'll start to die.” Artemis said.

“Yes I know, and I’ve already disabled all of the probes, satellites, and rovers.” Leto informed us.

“Thank you mother.”

“No problem, it gave me something to do.” Leto said smiling bitterly.

“Mother, you shouldn't be here. You should be on Earth, doing what you want.” Artemis said holding back tears.

“Oh Artemis, I know that's what you and your brother want. Now you just need to convince your father.” she said laughing.

“Easier said than done.” I said, “it's nearly impossible to convince any man to do anything, whether their a god, titan, human, or vampire.” I said.

“True, just don't let them hear you say that.” Artemis said, “Especially not Erebus, I don't need you grounded even longer, not right now.”

“Understood, just tell Hypnos not to start anything. Though he may be to busy.” I told her.

“Ha ha. So your brothers annoy you a lot?” Leto asked as we got up to explore, and find whatever is wrong.

“Oh no not brothers, Thanatos is the protective big brother who will try not to let anyone hurt me, Hypnos is the annoying brother that gets me into trouble.” I told her.

“Let's go get the chariot first.” Artemis said heading back the way we came. “Then we can head towards the hole to the core, we may find something their.”

We walked back to the chariot and piled in, then flew to the core. When we got their it was obvious their was something wrong. Their was a bright blood red light coming out of the hole. We got off the chariot and walked over to the edge of the hole.

“That's not right.” Leto said, “it should be a silver light.”

“It feels wrong, malevolent.” I said, “I don't like it.”

“Has anything like this ever happened before?” Artemis asked, not looking away from the hole.

“Not that I know of,” Leto said.

“We should ask my mother, she may know.” I said.

“Yes, let's go. Mother you should go home, we don't know what's down there.” Artemis said as we got back into her chariot and headed back to Olympus.
