“Achelois!” Artemis yelled when we saw her at the edge of the hole, “What are you doing?”

“The only thing I can,” She said looking up at us, she'd been crying, as we ran over to her, “I'm fading, no one remembers me anymore, because of you two.”

“So you're going to destroy the moon?” I asked, “You should know as well as us that destroying the moon will cause mass turmoil in the oceans, Earth could also be destroyed.”

“I don't care,” She said, her form flickering, she was hanging on by shear willpower. It's a miracle she hadn't already completely faded.

“She's going to completely fade soon, we just have to stall her long enough for that to happen.” Artemis whispered to me, I nodded in agreement.

“No one care's about me anymore.” Achelois said, “If I die, my moon dies with me.”

“But you're not the only goddess of the moon, I am too.” I told her.

“You'll make me fade also.”

“I don't care. Everyone remembers you, they think about you. Beautiful Selene.” She said smiling sadly and slowly fading out of existence.

“In a couple more seconds, she wont have the power to destroy the moon, even if she does jump.” Artemis whispered to me, “She'll be too far gone.”

“Why?” Achelois asked turning on Artemis, “Why did you do this to me?”

“I did nothing Achelois, the mortals made me a goddess of the moon.”She told her, “They associated me with the moon because my twin brother is the god of the sun.”

“They did this to me?” she asked, “Then they should pay.” she said running and jumping into the hole. Artemis and I ran to the edge and looked down, we saw her completely fade before she got halfway down. And everything went back to normal, the light turned back to silver, and we could see the light side move, the moon wasn't full anymore.
