"Hi," I said, "Am I in trouble?"
"Yes," said Nyx and Erebus in unison, gabbing me and dragging me back down the stairs with everyone else following. "Sit down, Now!!" Erebus said, pointing to a chair when we got to the sitting room.
"So, wha'd I do?" I asked.
"You locked yourself, alone, in a room, with him." Erebus said pointing to Sammie.
"OK. One, his name is Sam. Two, we didn't do anything. I just needed a secluded place to tell him the truth, and how I'm the mother of vampires, because the other fledgelings aren't allowed to know, and that was the only place I knew for sure nobody would be." I told him, "I swear on the river Styx that is ALL we did, talk." I said raising my right hand. "And you know I would not have sworn if it weren't true. I don't want Styx coming after me, she's scary."
"Still, you shouldn't have done it." He said, yep definitely hates Sammie.
"What are you going to do? Punish me for having a FRIEND?" I yelled at him, putting great emphasis on friend, and getting up.
"No. But I will for disobeying me." he said.
"Disobeying you about what? Exactly?" I asked, about ready to disappear in flames and storm to my room in the Otherworld.
"You know what." he said sternly.
"No, Erebus, I really don't." I said in his face, I call him Erebus when I'm upset with him.
"For arguing with me, fighting with Hypnos..."
"I always fight with Hypnos," I said interrupting him, "and I've never gotten in trouble for it before, well I did once, but that one kind of got out of hand."
"For interrupting me, and for disobeying me about riding that horse before you lost your memories, which is why you lost your memories. That horse threw you, or did you forget about that?"
"I was trying not to think about it actually." I told him, looking at the fire. "So you're going to punish me for that? Fine, I deserve it, but doing what I promised Sammie I would, talk to him, you can't punish me for that, you'd be a hypocrite, you always taught me to live up to and keep my promises, and that's what I did."
"Alright, but you're grounded, and that means on the ground, in the Otherworld, for a month, and you have to stay withing 100 yards of your room." He said.
"Now say goodbye and meet us back at the house." Nyx said, "Goodbye." she said to the others and my parents disappeared in a whirlwind of stars and moonlight.
"My dad hates you," I said turning to Sammie.
"Yea I got that impression, so a month?" He said.
"He was being very very generous, I'm immortal, the last time he grounded me it was for a hundred years, and even that was generous. I have to go now, Goodbye. Oh and there's a star on the floor, you should pick that up." I said and disappeared in a puff of flame.
