My bag was going to burst!

I had already stuffed about a hundred things and it felt like a hundred more were yet to be stuffed. I sat on my backpack trying to push all the contents to the bottom but the bottom was already overflowing with stuff so I had to give up and chuck somethings out. After a lot of thinking and throwing, I managed to flatten my bag. That is... I managed to make it look like a filled balloon rather than an overfilled balloon.

I definitely considered this as progress. After about an hour and a half I finally managed to actually flatten my backpack. Beside me, was a heap of chucked out junk that I decided I wasn't going to use.

After living as an orphan for as long as I could remember, I had learnt to take care of myself because I realised that no one else would, so out of self care I wanted to pack a mini house in my Bag . But, I guess that was a bit extra!

Finally I was left with a bag with only the essentials and necessities like it should have been from the beginning. Anyways you might be wondering why I was packing my backpack. I was packing it because my friends and I were going on an adventure, which I would personally call more of forced trip to save a land but let's go with adventure.

We were going to Bentley Mines, the land of burning stones. Our first stop to defeating Nero and his followers. I couldn't wait to get going!

'happy birthday to you - merry Christmas to - happy birth - jingle bells' , That's my door bell, it needs some serious fixing . It clearly does not know how to form complete sentences or the right time to say something because it definitely wasn't Christmas and it wasn't my birthday either. I had gotten used to it by now, as I went to open my front door.

"Hey! it's the big day, are you ready?" asked Jared.

" Yeah! As ready as can be! I am so excited that I just can't wait!" I said in forced excitement.

We all had decided that we would be very cheerful, happy and optimistic about this whole trip even if the trip was loaded with traps, dangers, traitors, villains and who knows what else might be lurking around, trying make our goal, impossible to achieve.

Lil and Jared were standing in front of my flottage with there luggage packed and ready to move. Lil was wearing a pair of jeans, hiking boots and a T-shirt saying 'Say yes to new adventures!" which was very inspiring. Jared was dressed in pretty much the same way except he had some pretty cool sunglasses on and a cap to match with his outfit. Also his T-shirt said ' Do more than just exist' which was also pretty inspiring. Compared to them, seeing my T-shirt, I wanted the ground to swallow me and spare me the embarrassment . It had a happy unicorn that was surrounded by multi-coloured rainbow vomit. My life story!

I put my backpack on, said my last goodbyes, stepped out onto the porch and locked the door with a sigh. I got the feeling that I wouldn't be coming back for a very long time so I tried my best to keep all these things in my mind as an album, stashed away in a safe and secure part of my brain.

" So, how are we going to reach Bentley mines? Also I can use my GPS to find our way." I said.

" Oh no! you won't be able to use your GPS cause we'll be taking your phone and dumping it in your flottage!" Lil and Jared shouted at the same time.

" What! are you out of your mind! I need my phone, how can anyone live without their phone. I am not giving it to you. Over my dead body!" I cried in utter shock and amazement.

After five minutes, my phone was dumped in my flottage and we were on our way to Bentley mines. DON'T ASK ME HOW THEY GOT MY PHONE! but they did. End of story!

I put my head out of the window of the car, with the wind stinging in my eyes and gushing in through my mouth, cooling my insides. I stuck my tongue out trying to understand the pleasure that dogs felt but I just couldn't keep my tongue that way. The wind dried my tongue completely and made me feel weird all over. Conclusion: I was not a dog. I felt happy.

" What are you smiling for, didn't we just take your phone!" Jared smirked.

Seeing his pretty, proud face I just couldn't give him the satisfaction. " So what! Is there a rule against smiling in Magnoliophyta. If so, what a miserable bunch!" I smirked at him.

"Now that I come to think of it, why did you guys take my phone?" I asked, getting serious.

" The warriors of Nero would detect us if we use our cell phones. Using phones is like sending a signal to the warriors, inviting them to come and kill us." replied Jared.

"Oh! I didn't know sorry!"

" Sure! no problem. The only thing that matters is that you don't have your phone right now and we are safe." Jared smiled and seeing him smile just melted my soul. I had that feeling again and I just couldn't place what it was. So... I let it go. At least for the time being.

As Derek, a liberated who had volunteered to drive us, swiftly sped through the trees and shrubs growing wildly on the road side, I felt free and unstoppable. I hadn't felt this happy since that day...

It was spring and I was a baby, laughing in my cradle. Don't ask how I remember this stuff but I do! I don't know if this was a memory that my brain had unconsciously formed just to give me something happy to hold on to. Something to calm my nerves when I was having the worst of days... but it seems real to me, a past that I had actually experienced. I was just swinging in my cradle when a happy face of a woman blocked my view, she was a beautiful woman with perfectly shaped, red lustrous lips, almond shaped eyes with sparkling blue irises and a nose that was smooth and perfect. Her face glowed with pleasure and I remember feeling the same way. Free. Unstoppable. Happy and most of all content. I think that women was my real mom, but of course I can't be sure. I can just hope that I remain happy reliving this moment in my head whenever I need something to cheer me up!

"So, when are we going to reach the mines?" I asked to no one in particular.

" Don't get you hopes up about the time, it's going to a take a good couple of hours!" replied Jared.

I sighed and continued watching the trees and shrubs passing by. The continuous buzz of the wind and the constant swaying motion of the car lulled me to sleep. As I rested my head against the seat, the trees began to blur with the ground and soon I was fast asleep. I dreamt of unicorns covered in rainbow poop, splashing and playing in there magical excretion. Then my dream shifted to Jared. He was standing in front of me, offering me a flake " Here have a flake, you'll love it!". I had no idea why he was in my dreams but before I could think about it in my sleep, the car jerked and my eyes fluttered open in astonishment.

At first I had to get my bearings and when I did I jumped out of my skin when Jared's huge head was looking down at me. Then I realised that I was sleeping on his shoulder and quickly sat up straight.

" Whoa! was I just sleeping on you? I am so sorry, I didn't realise!" I started saying.

" Oh! it's totally alright, anyways you were looking comfortable so I let you sleep." Jared smiled and smiled back in gratitude.

" Thanks Jared!" I said.

"And... Derek what's with the rash driving! I almost split my head in half when you suddenly jerked the car right now!" I complained.

" Sorry!" Derek said looking at me with sorry eyes from the mirror.

" It's okay, just be careful next time." I suggested.

"Anyways, how long was I asleep and when are we going to reach?"

" You were asleep for almost two hours, my shoulder hurts from the weight of your extra large head!" Jared smirked and I smiled.

I couldn't believe that I had been dreaming about unicorns and Jared for two hours! it felt more like minutes.

" Oh, and we have reached!" Jared added.

I just realised that we were not moving and the wind had stopped blowing. All around me barren land and mountains of rocks were spread across the vast area. When the clouds cleared and sun came out, the place actually looked like it was burning red hot!

We had reached Bentley mines, the land of burning stones.
