A few days after the New Year, I was back in my apartment unpacking. I wasn't prepared for the how strange the next few days were about to be like. I still wore the necklace Brett had given me for Christmas. I couldn't let that go, I still loved him. Of course I was hurt, but I never let it show.

I heard the front door open and close, then Mia let out a huge sigh. I walked out of my room and followed her to hers.

"Mia." I smiled as she set all of her suitcase and bags down on her bedroom floor.

"Ally!" She smiled, running to me and giving me a hug. "Happy New Year!"

"Did you bring me a souvenir from Russia?" I asked, walking over to her bag.

"Of course!" Mia smiled happily and pulled out a huge brown paper bag.

"Oh boy." I faked a cheer.

Mia pulled out a snow globe and a giant bottle of White Vodka.

"Both? For me?" I asked with honest excitement.

"Yes! This is the best vodka from Russia." Mia smiled, handing the gifts to me. "and I got a snow-globe for mostly everyone."

"At least I got vodka!" I laughed as I admired the bottle.

"Cute necklace," Mia said. "Christmas present from Vinny and Adam?"

"No, Brett, actually." I sighed.

"Oh, it's cute though. Have you heard from him?"

"No, he gave up after New Years Eve." I said.

"So it's gonna be quite weird when you finally do see him." Mia said, beginning to unpack.

"Can we start drinking now?" I joked holding up the bottle of vodka.

"We'll pregame before the party." Mia assured me.

That night, Dave threw a welcome back/ New Years party.

"Al!" Ethan walked up to us when we walked into the house.

"Ethan!" I smiled as he handed a beer to both Mia and I.

"Happy New Year, guys," he smiled. "Al, I'm gonna get you so shitfaced, you'll be like 'Brett who?' later."

"Let's get started then!" I said, chugging my beer.

After four beers, Mia, Ethan, and I took six shots of vanilla vodka.

When I came out of the bathroom, I spotted Brett up against the wall.

"Ahh shit." I said under my breath.

"Ally Jo," he smiled. He looked like he had been drinking just as much as I had. "how are you, beautiful?"

"Hey, Brett." I said, walking past him.

He grabbed my arm and brought me into his arms. "I miss you."

I honestly missed being wrapped in his arms, but I quickly got out of it. "Bye, Brett." I said, quickly walking away and back to Mia and Ethan. "Brownies, please!"

The next day, I woke up in an unfamiliar bed. I looked under the covers to see that all I wore was a bra and panties. I looked over to who laid beside me. It was Devon.

"Oh, shit." I whispered.

Devon turned over and put his arm around me.

"Um." I said, struggling to get out of his hold.
