Episode 12 (A Notice from KID)

After Heiji's surprise visit, nothing special happened for the following few days.

For the first time, Shinichi and Shiho got to enjoy a peaceful weekend.

"Hmm...Why isn't Shiho throwing a pillow at me today?"

Ever since Shinichi lived together with Shiho, his day started with Shiho launching a pillow at his face. On normal days, he would be still asleep when he gets hit by the pillow. Today was different. This time, he was waiting for her to throw the pillow at him. However, she didn't show up and her absence puzzled Shinichi.

"That's strange. Is Shiho not feeling well today?"

Shinichi got out of his bed and headed to Shiho's bedroom.

*Knock Knock*

When there was no response, Shinichi carefully opened Shiho's door.

When he entered her room, he found Shiho still sleeping in her bed.

As Shinichi surveyed her room, he noticed fashion magazines laying on Shiho's desk.

'She must've stayed up all night reading those magazines...'

"Shiho. Wake up."

"...."

When there was no response, he spoke with a louder voice

"Shiho. Wake up. We might be late for school."

Then Shiho, her eyes still closed, responded with a sleepy voice

"Baka. It's weekend today."

"Oh Right! Today is Saturday...Sorry."

After realizing today was Saturday, Shinichi became embarrassed. As he was leaving her room to catch up on his mystery novels, Shiho spoke to him.

"Sorry, but could you prepare breakfast for yourself?

I'm feeling tired today so I'm going to sleep a little bit more."

"Yeah, no problem. Don't worry about me. Get some good rest."

Shinichi headed over to the kitchen and ate a light breakfast with toast and milk.

As he was getting ready to read his favorite mystery novels, his phone rang.

It was Ran.

"Are you awake Shinichi?

Sorry for calling you this early in the morning."

"No worries. What's wrong?"

"Umm... a notice from KID was sent to our office this morning."

Shinichi was a bit surprised to hear this name as this was the first time he heard from KID after he came back to his original body.

"What? What does it say?"

"It says that he will steal the world's purest Blue Sapphire today 2 PM at Beika Central Department Store."

"Alright, I'll head over to the office now, so wait for me."

After the phone call, Shinichi went to Shiho's room.

"Shiho. I'm going to visit the Detective Office right now. I might come home late today."

"Why?"

"KID sent out a notice today saying that he will steal a precious sapphire 2 PM at the department store."

"Is that so? I'm coming with you then."
