Final Showdown, Final Choice

Later That Night
Crime Alley

The batwing came to a hover just over the alley and the bottom of the plane opened up to let Batman fall out and land in the alley. He walked further into the alley before he paused as a memory filled his mind.

Flashback

Batman walked through the alley and towards the batmobile before halting, a look of surprise crossing his face. He didn't notice it at first but upon doing a double take he realized he wasn't imagining it. The batmobile's tires had been stolen! "Unreal." Batman said in disbelief. Who would be brave enough to steal the batmobile's tires. A noise caught his attention and looked over at the other side of the car just in time to see a young Jason Todd backing away from the car with a wrench in his hand.

Jason looked up and soon spotted Batman staring at him. Jason froze, briefly glanced at the wrench before dropping it.

Flashback Ends

Batman smiled as he finished recalling how he'd first met Jason only for a voice to suddenly speak up behind him. "Hello." Batman quickly turned around to find the Red Hood standing behind him. "So glad you could make it." Red Hood said as lightning flashed overhead as it began to rain. "Where's Dice? Or should I say Ryder?" Batman asked. Red Hood chuckled. "Was wondering how long it would take you to find out who she was. Don't worry, she's just watching over our prisoner." "This ends tonight." Batman said. "All of it."

"Nobody knows that better than me." Red Hood said before he threw a handful of shrunken at Batman who backflipped out of the way and behind a dumpster. As Red Hood charged towards Batman, the dark knight placed two devices on the side of the dumpster which powered up and rocketed it towards Red Hood. Red Hood leaped onto the air and out of the way of the dumpster then used the momentum to push off the side of the building, Batman's batarang attached to a cord suddenly wrapping around Red Hood's ankles which sent him crashing to the ground.

Red Hood laughed as he sat up. "Ah, you and your gadgets." Red Hood pulled a knife and a taser out of his jacket and proceeded to cut the cord wrapped around his ankles, at the same time using his taser to electrocute the cord which shocked Batman causing him to fall to the ground and let go of the cord. "Your not the only one with toys." Red Hood said, getting up and heading towards Batman who recovered and threw small explosive pellets towards Red Hood who paused and simply said. "Crap."

The pellets exploded, the force of which sent Red Hood into the air only for him to stick his knife into the wall and push off it. Red Hood then latched onto the fire escape on the building across from him and began to climb up the latter, Batman quickly jumping up to the fire escape and followed after him. Thunder and lightning crackled and roared above the dueling pair as the rain continued to pour down, Red Hood soon flipping onto the roof only for Batman to tackle him.

They rolled, Red Hood quickly stabbing his knife into Batman's cape forcing him to stay in one place then proceeded to get up and punch Batman in the face a few times. Batman pulled out two batarangs, sliced the end of his cape held by the knife, then got up and slashed the batarangs at Red Hood only for them to scrape against his helmet. Red Hood leaped to the side and quickly retrieved his knife and charged, he and Batman exchanging blades before Red Hood elbowed Batman in the head then they flipped over each other.

Batman stopped the incoming jab of Red Hood's knife with his arms only for Red Hood to drop his knife into his other awaiting hand behind Batman's back. Red Hood then crouched down and cut off Batman's utility belt, Batman spinning around and swiped a batarang at Red Hood who dodged then cut a small tear in Batman's costume but not enough to break through his Kevlar. The two backed away from each other as Red Hood twirled his knife and tossed it into his other hand.
