Skylar's POV
The whole gang sat in Eric's basement watching TV. Fes was in the folding lawn chair by the door, Eric was next to him on the couch, I was on the ground in between Eric's legs, Kelso was sitting next to Eric, Jackie was standing behind the couch playing with Kelso's hair, Hyde was sitting on the ottoman, and Donna was in the chair next to him. We were watching some western show.
"Does it bother anybody else that these women live in hooter-ville?" Hyde asked.
"Technically Petty Coat Junction is done the track from Hooterville" Eric said.
"Okay does it bother anybody else that they live down the track from Hooterville?" Hyde asked.
"Consider me bothered" I said and raised my hand.
"It bothers me that they bathe in the town water tank" Donna said.
"Yeah, I second that" I said.
"With the dog" Kelso grimaced.
"It isn't the drinking water" Jackie defended. "It's the water for the train."
"It's still three naked women with a dog" I said.
"I want to be the Hooterville dog" Fes said, smiling. I lightly slapped his knee, shook my headd and laughed. Fes is a hoot and a half. I never got the saying.
"Ding dong" Kitty said, coming down the stairs. "I'm coming down. Now don't mind me, I'm just putting some clothes in. Eric, honey, I thought you could wear this for your birthday. It's so nice and you look so handsome in it."
She held up a short sleeve, button down shirt that was black and white and had a God awful pattern. Eric looked mortified.
"Why would I wanna dress nice on my birthday?" Eric asked.
His mom always threw him a surprise party and despite the sweetness of the gesture, he hated them. He thought they were embarrassing and lame. I enjoyed her parties. Kitty is a marvelous host and just a great mom and person in general.
"Because you would look so handsome in it" I said, helping Kitty out while mocking Eric. He smiled at me and shoved my head away.
"It's your birthday?" Kelso asked.
"You never know what is going to happen on your birthday" Kitty said.
"Mom" Eric said. "Mom. Do not throw a party for me."
"Oh well listen to Mr. Popularity" Kitty said. "Like I have time to throw you a party."
I saw right through her little act, she was already done planning his party. I'm pretty everybody else saw right through her too but she didn't know that.
"Oh um, by the way," Kitty said, "your sister Laurie is coming home from college for the weekend. No special reason, she just is."
"Oh great" I said and rolled my eyes. Laurie was a bitch and a slut. Two of the worst things a woman can be and she's also dumb as a rock. I have no idea how she got into college. I also hate the way she treats Eric.
"Well you're getting a party and best of all it'll be a surprise" Donna said.
"I just realized that Skylar's older than you" Kelso said.
"Only by a month" I said. "And Donna is older than him too."
"Yeah but Donna doesn't have a thing with Eric, you do" he said. I turned around and punched him in the stomach. "Ow!"
"Good for you Eric" Fes said.
"Good for me what?" Eric asked.
"In my country," Fes said. "It is good luck to fall in love with an older woman."
