Hanging out

It was the day. Shockwave worked faster than any other day, while Soundwave on the other hand, was being slow on purpose. The motivational speech gave to themself was in vain. They was afraid, again. 

At the lunch time, Soundwave didn't went. Shockwave waited for them at that hour, but he didn't see them anywhere. Soundwave was locked in their tower once again, but they couldn't eat their ration, they had that nausea again. They had eat the last three candies in the box and still wanted to threw up. They also had filtered their tank like 4 times.  They hadn't been this nervous since their first day in the academy.

The hours passed, it was time to get back home. Shockwave didn't appear. Seems like he understand that Soundwave needed some space. Soundwave was the last worker in going outside. And there, in the door, looking at the sky, was Shockwave.

- Uhh - Soundwave was trying to say something to Shockwave, but was shaking and had no idea what to say. Yesterday that didn't happened. 

- Uh, hello. I did not see you in the lunch, is everything okay? - 

- Uh, yes - Soundwave said, trying to hold a burp, caused by the nervousness 

- Alright, where you want to go? -

"Home" was the first thing Soundwave was thinking, but their mouth said something different  - I don't know -

- I asked you, because I made the invitation, so you want to decide where, that's fair -

Soundwave's hands were starting to sweat.  - I don't know so much about places, I usually spent all the day at home -

- Well, let me take you somewhere you could feel comfortable...where fri- I mean, coworkers like to go - He thought for a second, while Soundwave had their sight in another place. - I know where! - He said while he started walking and was followed by Soundwave. - But we have to take the bus -

- A bus? - Soundwave asked, trying not to lose control of themself. - There are buses here?! -

- I guessed you knew that, since you work here...in the communications tower -

- I hadn't put enough attention- Soundwave kept walking and now was side by side with the purple mech. 

They arrived to the bus stop. And waited. Soundwave was sweating cold, but the mech at their side was completely calm. How had they let this happen? They looked at the floor, there was a tiny, green and shiny cyberfrog. Soundwave softly laughed. Shockwave noticed it.

- It's a spring frog. It has shorter springs on its legs, but somehow jumps higher than other species - Soundwave said, while staring at it. - Its presence indicates that it will rain soon. -

Shockwave was surprised at Soundwave knowledge -  You know a lot about creatures -

- I think all creatures are amazing, I like biology but don't feel like studying it -

- Oh, I see - 

Both observed at the tiny frog and heard it croaking. Soundwave laughed and imitated it. They liked to do that, imitate animals is funny. Shockwave sat like it and then jumped. Both bots laughed. Frogs are hilarious. The tiny frog jumped near to Shockwave, and he crouched to take a closer look.

- Its such an interesting bei- - The frog hopped at Shockwave's optic - Ow! -

- Hahaha!! - Soundwave laughed - Wait, wait - They grabbed the green creature with a hand and covered it with the other. Then rubbed its tiny head - You are a messy one - Soundwave put the creature in a bush a few meters near them. - There you go -

Soundwave felt more confident now, they had seen Shockwave's silly side and felt better at that time. 

The bus arrived.

- Get inside-  Shockwave said - You are shorter, you go first- 

- Thank you... -

As soon as both where inside, Soundwave looked for seats, and find a pair, almost in the back of the bus. They sat there, hugging their backpack, waiting for Shockwave, who was paying the tickets. Soundwave looked through the window, it was a slightly cloudy day, as they predicted by the presence of the frog. 

Shockwave finally sat. He was in the corridor seat, and he put his briefcase on the floor, but after thinking for a few seconds, he put it on his lap. While he was setting it there, he noticed Soundwave's hips while they was looking at the outside. Shockwave stared by a second...being that close to his coworker gave him a new perspective. Their hips and lower part were actually thicker than it looks from far. Soundwave was a femme? Or a fat mech? Who knows. They was certainly chubby. He tried to disimulate that by checking the side of the briefcase, like trying to clean a spot of rust. But still, he was staring at them. Their back was wide, not as Shockwave's, but it was. He was confused. 

- Shockwave... - Soundwave felt they was being observed and twitched their antennas. - What are you staring at? -

Shockwave felt a bit nervous but somehow stayed calm - You have something in your back. -

- I didn't feel it, what is?! -

Actually there was a leaf. The scientist took it in his servos - Is this. - He showed it to them.

- Ah, thank you - They sighed - I thought it was a bug -

Both laughed and watched to the outside.
