A story in blue and purple

New friend(s)

After that day spent with Shockwave, Soundwave felt better with themself. The few friends they had bring them so much joy at their spark.

The next day, they went to work really happy, at the point that was dancing while walking. 

Some weeks later, someone new arrived at work. It was Astrotrain. He was easily hired, because he explained to Megatron that Soundwave told him. Apparently, the polyhexian is quite influential.

At lunch time, Soundwave was there even a couple minutes before, waiting for Shockwave. While waiting, they eat before anyone could see their face. 

When Shockwave finally arrives, the bots talk. A lot. Both found each other really enjoyable to chat with. They look like they had known since forever. 

In one of those days, something happened. Shockwave told something. 

- And I was there, trying to put my things in order, and this guy called me, I gave him some instructions, but that guy didn't told me that the floor was wet! And when I turned around, I fell down! -

- Pfft - 

- That didn't ended there! As soon as I fell down, I slipped and ended right under a shelf with paint! Suddenly I was covered in green paint! HAHAHA! -

Soundwave tried to hold back the laughter. They didn't imagine that something silly could happen to the scientist. They was shaking. Shockwave laugh couldn't help, he sounded so hilarious with his rough and deep voice.

It was really funny. And then...

Soundwave laughed. Louder than ever. 

Their mechanical voice a bit distorted made the cackle funnier to hear. Nobody has heard it except for Megatron, of course. And Blaster, maybe. 

- You.. you are laughing!! A lot!!! - Shockwave happily said, still laughing.

- HAHAHAHAHA I'M SORRY, HAHAHA - Soundwave had a pain in the tank for the laughs. They was out of the usual mood. They even wheezed. - Is just that - the bot took a breath - THAT'S SO SILLY HAHAHAHAHA - They said with tears of joy.

Megatron was passing by. He saw his best friend laughing and he smiled, he was happy his bestie had a new friend.

After a couple minutes, they finally calmed down. The lunch ended and they got back to their respective zones

Soundwave still was in a happy mood. They had music in their zone and was singing in a low volume.

After the work hours, everybody left. Soundwave was one of the first leaving this time. Their met with Shockwave at the corridor. 

- Hi! - They said

- Oh, I found you again! - Shockwave happily said. - Did you mind if I go with you to the bus stop? -

- Yes, you can come if you wan- - The polyhexian moved their antennas and they had a shocked expression 

- Is something wrong?? - The scientist answered 

- Don't you hear it? - They turned around, both antennas shaking - Someone...someone is crying - Then ran in the opposite direction. 

- Soundwave?! Where are you going?! - Shockwave followed them, running too.

Soundwave kept running, they had passed at least half city by foot. Despite their system almost collapsing for not being in a good shape, they continued. The cry was being louder in their audials, Shockwave was getting closer and finally heard it, too. 

Soundwave stopped running and walked slowly. They was searching the exact point where the cry was coming. Their antennas were moving desperately. - ... is a sparkling!!!-

Now Shockwave was worried too. - What we should do?! -

Soundwave stood in front of a wall - Your claw...rip this - They slapped the wall 

- But I can't- -

Soundwave took the arm of their friend and ripped the metal in front of them. Shockwave was surprised and scared at the same time. He didn't knew his claw was actually dangerous until that moment.  

With that barrier torn in two, Soundwave put a hand in the hole trying to make it bigger to enter there. They was tired and sweating due to running, also, their legs were shaking. Their strength was leaving them.

-Let me help - Shockwave torn apart the metal with his hand. The hole was big enough for Soundwave to pass through it. The blue bot looked down. 

There was a tiny cyberkitten. It was next to its carrier, who was almost deactivated. The poor creature was shaking and crying. Soundwave couldn't handle the sadness and sobbed. 

The purple mech outside heard it. - What happened? - He was too tall to enter there

- Give me your coat - 

Shockwave opened his briefcase and gave the coat to the polyhexian. Soundwave covered the ktten with the coat and took it in their arms. They looked at its carrier and rubbed its head. - I'm going to take care of your baby...you can rest...- 

The older creature slowly closed its optics. Soundwave noticed it stopped breathing and its body turned totally gray. The blue cybertronian had tears down their face and hugged the tiny one like their own sparkling. It was crying, too. - Shhh...I got you...-

Soundwave got out of the place after burying the carrier of the creature under a pile of rocks. They was crying and their antennas were totally down.

- What-- - Shockwave looked at them and understand everything 

- I'm taking care of him - They said, sobbing - He needs to stay with someone, is so tiny -

- ... I... I will take you to your home - 

- No...thanks... - Soundwave said. They was sweating more, running a lot of kilometers had exhausted them. All of their body was shaking.

- Hey...- Shockwave had the sense that something was wrong 

Soundwave walked a few meters and fell on their knees, still holding the kitten in their arms

- Soundwave!! - He went closer to them and hold them by the back with the arm with the claw.

Soundwave put the tiny being in the other arm of their friend - Shock...I... - In a second, they passed out.
