Mummies fire (Ninjago story)

MUMMY!

"Who's ready to dig up dead people?" Clutch asks and all the ninja raised their hands. "Great now remember don't touch anything feel free to ask questions," Clutch said as he lead them into the under ground part of the palace. "Does it feel like we're going on a museum trip?" Jay asks and a few nodded in agreement.

They travelled further underground using flashlights and Kai's powers for light. At one hyrogliphic Zane stops to look at. "Hey does this look familiar to anyone?" Zane asks. Everyone stops and looks at the picture. In it was two thrones one of them had a man with a pharaoh's crown while the other one was a man who was wearing a skirt custom from that time period and lines all over his body and looked like faded gold paint. Clutch inspects it. "It says here the guy on the right is the Pharaoh Imhotep and the other one is his queen," Clutch reads. Everyone looked at it Kai had a familiar bad feeling in his stomach, but pushed it down. "But his queen is a guy aren't queens only girls?" Nya asks. "He was Pharaoh who was stupid enough to argue?" Clutch points out. "Why are there a bunch of paint on the queen's body did the painter spill something?" Cole asks. Clutch took a closer look. "This is a bit faded hey robot could you see if you can get anything?" Clutch asks Zane. Zane scans the wall and brought it up.

"It says here the paint on the queen's skin is because Imhotep didn't want anyone, but him touching his queen. So to make sure no one broke the rule the paint would show if he had been even grazed by another. The queen was nicknamed 'The Pharaoh's Forbidden Treasure'," Zane read. "Seriously? Must've been torture not to itch your face," Jay said. "Yes, but the queen does he look familiar to anyone?" Zane asks. They all looked closely at the painting and each felt something familiar they couldn't quite place. "It'll come back to us," Clutch shrugs and moved on. Lloyd lingers back a little before moving on with the others.

They travelled deeper in the tome passing more faded paintings and entered a large room. It had golden highlights, white stones, and looked like a throne room except where the throne should be was a golden sarcophagus. "Bingo! The Pharaoh's tome," Clutch said excited. "Great let's go," Jay said only to be pulled back by Kai. "Did you learn anything from the last tome? This place has got to be littered with traps," Kai said. Clutch crouches down and looked at the tiles. "Okay step where I step," Clutch advises and the ninja nodded. He jumps on a tile with a eye on it and jumps to a different tile with a eye on it. They all followed Clutch carefully until they stopped at the end. "This is cool," Cole said looking at the coffin closely. Kai stood a good distance away feeling a very bad vibe. "Hey you okay?" Lloyd asks. "Yeah just tired," Kai answers. "What does it say there?" Nya asks pointing to the middle of the golden sarcophagus that had purple writing. "It says," Zane reads.

"Ikon Heckta Nickoo," Zane reads out loud. Suddenly the writing glows along with the rest of the coffin. Everyone backed away scared when the door of the sarcophagus opens with a blast and smoke. Out stepped a body wrapped in bandages from head to toe. He lifted a bony wrapped finger and pointed and let out a ear piercing frightening screech. The building rumbles and the room lit up with torches and guards with spears came out of seemingly nowhere. "I'm out," Clutch said running. "Right behind you," Jay said running with him. They were stopped however when the guards blocked the only exit. Everyone turns back to the mummy who mutters a incantation.

Suddenly a golden snake staff appears in his hand. He slams it on the ground and his body along with the guards seem to start becoming more human again. "I'm going to go," Kai said running to the exit again. The guards blocked him, but he jumped over them followed by the others and Clutch who slid under them instead. The guards followed them into a hall with a lot of halls.

After they split it became something out of a cartoon. Ninja being chased as they scream, guards getting chased by them, pairs separating and bumping into each other it was chaos. Eventually everyone crashed into each other again and they screamed when they saw the guards now fully human looking, but no less scary. They all ran down a hall and ended up in the real throne room. It had white pillars, jade tiles line with gold, the sun coming through windows that could be closed with light purple silk curtains. In the middle at the end of the large room the size of a football field leading up some stairs that was a guaranteed workout on a large golden throne with jewels adorning it was the mummy now fully human with his staff sitting on it.
