Prodigy
I didn't go straight back to the hotel after that talk with Ray. But I wouldn't consider it a talk. I really don't know what to call it. I didn't expect him to go off on me like that, but I should've known. Now I see he's still a little touchy on Roc because like he said that was his best friend. Even though Roc and I met completely the wrong way, I thought he was a cool dude and I will admit I'm still a little touchy when he's brought up too.
Another thing I couldn't stop thinking about was when Ray said he's let go of New York. In my opinion I don't think he has. And when he said I'm trying to mess his life up for him by bringing Roc up, I could care less about his boyfriend and any other friends he has if that's what he was talking about. No matter how Ray treated me today, I would still like to talk to him before I have to leave. Time is running out and I want this situation to go away forever. He may be hurt right now and I understand that. I'll give him time, but not much.
Enough about the subject of what happened today, I thought in my mind. Like I said, I didn't go straight back to the hotel. I rode around Miami to look at more sights and get me something to eat. It was nice to have some time alone, specifically away from Ross. Obviously Ross doesn't remember a single thing about what happened last night but he hasn't talked to me all day. I don't know what his deal is, but I'll let him figure it out.
It was five minutes past eight o'clock when I arrived back at the hotel. I thanked the limo driver and went up to my room. I walked in and saw Ross was sitting on the bed watching some TV show with crime. I put my stuff down and decided to speak to him a little bit to ease whatever tension we have.
"Hey Ross," I started.
"Hmm," he said not even looking at me.
"Uhh, what are you watching?" I asked off the top of my head.
"The Wire," he simply said not looking at me still. This was all I could say since he still will barely speak to me. I sighed and open the door to go out on the balcony until I heard the TV cut off. I looked back and saw Ross looking at me like he wants to talk.
"Prod, let's talk for a moment," he said and sat up on the bed. He patted a spot next to him telling me to come sit down. I closed the door and moved across the room to sit down next to him, but almost a foot away. He laughed. "No, come on, Prod. I'm not going to bite." Since he's not drunk I scooted over to where our thighs were almost touching.
We sat in silence for almost a minute. I thought this wasn't going to be anything at all. I almost got up and that's when he decided to speak. "Prodigy, tell me happened last night because I don't remember a damn thing except for me drinking." I sighed when he said that. I was hoping I didn't have to tell him about last night ever because knowing Ross he's a bit sensitive but now it's time for last night to come out.
"What happened was when you got drunk we went to the dance floor and started dancing. As we were dancing you started grinding on me. I pushed you off but you came back on me and started doing it again. I felt uncomfortable and I said I had to go to the bathroom. Now that I think about it I don't know why I left you alone drunk. But in the bathroom that's when I saw Ray."
"Wait, the same guy who you said you were going to go talk to today?" he asked. I nodded and Ross has a shocked look on his face. "Oh my gosh please tell me I didn't come into the bathroom with you guys."
I sighed and continued on with the story. "You came into the bathroom eventually because you were looking for me. When we saw you you were stumbling and out of your right mind. You came over and attempted to hug me but ended up falling on me. And when you saw Ray, you said some stuff that even I wouldn't be happy with."
