Bella's POV

I waited in the large SEA-TAC airport pick-up area with my light purple suitcase waiting for him. It's been almost 2 years since I'd seen Charlie... my dad and also since he'd sent me away from Forks, WA to go live with my mother, Renee. Sitting down on a bench to wait as I anxiously tapped my foot, waiting for him to pull up in his familiar Forks police cruiser. The frigid air nipped at the tan skin on my arms as it seemed like he was never coming. Charlie has never been one to disobey speed limits because of this I decided to go into the warm baggage claim area, escaping the cold nippy air of Seattle. I waited inside for about 10 minutes before going back outside to check to see if he had arrived. Just as I stepped out from the warm building I see the familiar police cruiser pull up to the curb. Charlie got out of the car with a big smile on his face, I don't think I'd ever seen him smile like that. We took a moment to hug and say hello before picking up my bags and putting them into the small trunk. I got into the passenger seat of the cruiser and strapped my seat belt as we began the trek to the small town of Forks, WA.

The ride to Charlie's house was a quiet ride and a little awkward. Charlie and I have never been the ones to talk a lot and once one of us got the courage to start a conversation it never really lasted for more than 5 minutes. I smiled as we got into the city limits, seeing the welcome sign. Forks brought back so many memories for me. Good memories.

Once we were into town it didn't take long to get to Charlie's house. We pulled up and I stepped out of the car, taking a deep breath as I did. As I breathed in I smelt something I've never smelt before since the change, vampires. Then a thought crossed my mind, Edward used to be here all the time when I was human. But there was something different, his scent wasn't what I remember, it's sweeter.

I walked up to the house and opened the door, Charlie not far behind me. Once in the house, I walked upstairs and started to unpack. I looked around the small room and realized that Charlie hadn't changed anything since I was here last. The bed was still purple and the sweet smell of Edward, to my surprise, lingered in the room. It's as if nothing had changed since then except for the fact that everything changed. I was older, warmer and I had phased into a young werewolf while away. Mom told me, when I first phased, that it was bound to happen sooner or later. She also explained to me that Charlie was also a werewolf. My worries didn't lie in anything to do with me being a werewolf. They lied in the fact that Edward was still here and what would happen if we ran into each other.

"Hey Bells. You know that the Cullen's are our natural enemies, right?" I jumped when Charlie spoke breaking me out of my trance as I realized that I was staring at an old picture of Edward and I at homecoming, still sitting on my nightstand.

"Yeah dad I know, but what if...-" I said trying to reason with him, but I was soon cut off.

"Bells you know it's not safe. You are to go nowhere near the Cullen family unless necessary, meaning school." He spoke is voice stern as if he were growling at me. After saying this he walked away not giving me a chance to even try and reason with him.

____________________After Dinner________________________

After dinner, I went to my bedroom and grabbed my toiletry bag before heading to the bathroom. I started the water in the shower and waited for it to get hot. Once the water was as hot as it would get, I got in and showered. Once I finished I towel dried my hair and washed my face. My mind kept wandering towards the mysterious Edward Cullen as many memories ran through my mind. After finishing my routine, I went back into my room and picked up my phone. I saw that I had 3 new messages. 2 from Jessica Stanley, one of my long time best friends, and 1 from Edward Cullen. I read Jessica's first.

Hey Bella I hear your back in forks. - Jessica

Hey, you going to school Monday? -Jessica

Hey, Jess yes I'm back in forks and I'm going to forks high Monday. -Bella

I then reluctantly turned my attention to Edward's texts. I sighed as a read it, my heart swelling with both happiness and sadness.

Hey Bella is it true that your back in forks? I miss and would love to catch up sometime soon. -Edward

I missed him so much more than I originally thought. All I wanted to do was see him, but according to Charlie I was never see or associate with him ever again. I breathed deeply as tears started to fill my eyes. I let the deep breathe out as I felt them spill over and fall down my sun tanned skin. I wanted him back more than ever but Charlie would never allow it. I laid down leaving Edward on read. I ended up crying myself to sleep for the first time since leaving Forks. Falling into a dreamless, restless sleep.
