12. Best Day Ever!

Altan POV

"Are you ok baby boy?" Mama asked.

"I'm ok, mama." I smile.

"Ok." Mama said walking back to papa and the others.

We're on the ferry going to Staten Island and I'm so excited. There's so much I still want to do but today was our last day.

"Seven days goes by fast doesn't it kiddo." Papa said and I nodded.

"The September 11 Memorial & Museum was pretty awesome papa." I smiled.

"What else did you like about the trip." I shrugged.

"Niagara Falls." I smiled

"I promised pawpaw Julian I'd pay my respects to them." Papa smiled and I nodded smiling.

I may not want to be in the military but I will forever keep their memories alive. I fell so much there. Their spirits were very much alive there. Papa said it's my tiger spirit waking up and showing itself.

"We're almost there kiddo." I couldn't stop jumping.

"There it is!" I pointed to the Statue of Liberty.

"Let's make it to the top kiddo." Papa and I gave each other a high five.

"Yea!" I giggled.

When we docked, we made our way to it. It was so much bigger than I thought.

"Do you know why the statue is green kiddo?" Papa asked.

"Oxidation?" I smiled.

"Wow... no wonder you're going to that school." We both chuckled.

"It was also gifted to America by France in 1885 and was originally copper. " I smirked.

"Ok show off." He chuckled walking away and we just kept walking until we made it to the top.

"The view is unbelievable." Mommy said.

"You're right cottontail." Papa said.

I smiled at my parents and took a picture of them all then the view.

"Where are we going after this?" Mama asked

"We did all the most important things on the list. We can just go home after this. I miss Kody and papa has to figure out how to help Holt get transferred to California." I said. I want papa and mama to have alone time with each other and I really do miss Kody.

"Ok kiddo, when we get back to the hotel room we'll pack." I nodded. I can't wait to show everyone the pictures and Kody.

When we finished up here we took a tour of Staten Island then went back to the hotel room.

"Did you enjoy yourself kiddo?" Papa Eric asked and I nodded rapidly.

"What was better, the empire state building or the statue of liberty." Papa Nathan asked.

"That's hard..." I whined.

They all laughed at me and I pouted.

"You guys are mean, hmph." I folded my arms as we stopped for food.

Since Mommy was carrying pups he eats a lot.

"When's your next appointment mommy?" I asked.

"Tomorrow kiddo." He smiled.

"Can I go please..."

"No Altan you have school in the morning." Papa said.

"Ok..." I sighed but hugged mommy.
