Eric POV
"I think it's time I talk to my mother." I said to my mates as we were laying in bed.
"Are you sure you're ready? You're pregnant with twins. What if she flips and we lose you three?" Adin says.
"I'll take a warrior or two and we're meeting in public. Just because I'm ready to talk to her means I forgive her but we have kids and all of your families have met and accepted them and I don't want her to feel left out or feel just because I'm upset at her that I don't want her to see the kids. All our families are going to be here for Odin, Alvin, and Calvin's welcoming ceremony." I said.
"The welcoming ceremony isn't for a while. We just don't want you hurting any more than you already are but we'll support you no matter what." Vince said kissing me.
"Before I even meet with her I have to go pick up Holt from the hospital, Ronnie said he's ready to come home." Caleb smiled at that news.
"I miss my baby." Caleb said and we all chuckled.
"We should get up, the babies should be up soon." Nathan said, chuckling.
"But I don't wanna..." Vince whined.
"If you don't get up we're going on a sex strike." Caleb warned and we all laughed when Vince jumped out of bed.
"You all, are assholes." He grumbled going to the bathroom.
When we all finished taking a shower and ate breakfast I got up from around the table and went to see if our babies were up.
"Morning baby boy, what are you doing up so early on a weekend?" I asked Altan as he was rocking Calvin and Odin in his arms.
"They were going to start crying and wake up Alvin and I didn't want you guys to worry so I just rocked them and cradled them. Odin is hungry though and I already changed Calvin which by the way, what are you guys feeding him?" He scrunched up his face.
"They drink what infants drink, milk." I chuckled.
"Well, what came out of that diaper could knock someone out." He gagged.
"I'll take note of that." I shook my head.
He looked at me and looked at the babies.
"What's wrong baby boy?" I looked at him.
"I had a vision of a man named Brent, he grew up to be a horrible man, he was forced into the life of a hunter. I saw his childhood and it was scary papa. From the age of three, he was forced to watch videos of feral creatures attacking innocent people and see things no child should. He wants to believe there's good in them but he's lost and confused, he doesn't know who or what to believe. His family feeds him with lies and he's going mad, he needs help, taught a difference between the two." He bit his lip.
"Kiddo, hunters are rare these days since war broke out years ago. Are you sure this wasn't a vision of the past?" He shook his head.
"I know what I saw papa." I nodded.
"I'll have Caleb call Liam to look into it. It'll be ok baby boy." He smiled.
If hunters are coming we have to be prepared and if they're torturing and corrupting children with lies, most will never know the truth but what they're taught.
"If it is of the present, we'll help him any way possible if he'll let us." I said.
"And if he puts up a fight?" I sighed.
"We have to protect the family, if it's a fight he wants, we'll have no choice but to put him down along with the rest of them who have lost their humanity." I said seriously. If they're going to behave like ferals, we'll treat them as such.
