I had asked Nanu to drop me off at Zane's house. We have collected the data Nanu needed for calculation and I had sent the bios of ten different officers to Kayden. We need to be absolutely sure before coming to any conclusions. It might take longer than I like but it is not a choice, we need proof.

I have sometime before Kayden can give me anything, possibly hours and I am in desperate need of a change of clothes and shower.

Kera, Zane's mom opened the front door for me. She immediately smiled in a welcome.

I turned around and waved Nanu bye, signalling him to return.

" Hello Ariel, come on in."she left the door open and I stepped in, shutting it after me.

" Hello" I greeted back with a smile.

" So how did it go. Did your grandma like the surprise" she asked with a grin and my smile flattered a little. We didn't even get to celebrate Nana's birthday in the middle of all this. And I was the one who was surprised not the other way around. But I still nodded at her with a smile.

"Mind if I overstay my welcome, I just need a shower and then I will be out of your hair" I spoke and Kera frowned at me.

" Ariel I don't mind your company, in fact I don't even get much female company. And you are not overstaying your welcome"

" Thankyou" I thanked her with a genuine and sincere smile. She truly is kind.

And she is colorless, but there is nothing that makes her less human. The lack of color doesn't mean that she is beneath us, it doesn't mean that she deserves the treatment that she is getting. Nothing does, a persons color does not determine who they are. You can be a defender with a bland color and nothing will make a difference in your ability besides training. Not the shade.

I parted from her and climbed the stairs to my bedroom. The double bed with grey sheets somehow looked familiar and all I wanted was to flop on the bed and sleep.

That is why I need a long relaxing shower. I freed my hair from the ponytail and ruffled them a little, running my fingers through them. I locked my room from the inside and approached the bathroom with a towel and my phone in the other hand. A little music is all I need to cheer up.

I twisted a knob and pulled the door open.

Only to be treated-, greeted by a sight of-, a sight of a very naked Zane with a towel wrapped around his waist. A noise of something between a shriek and a sequel left my mouth and the phone from my hand slipped. I jumped at the sudden sound.

I stared at him with wide eyes as a deep, deep crimson blush no doubt started spreading on my cheeks like a wildfire. I didn't know what I was saying when I said that Zane was muscled because his sculpted body proved that he definitely did more training than I considered. His shower wet hair hung to his eyes in a mess and he gazed at me with those pale blue eyes, clouded with confusion.

Realizing I was staring I scrambled to pick up my phone. I straightened up and Zane stood at his place, not at all bothered that a girl was in his bathroom. My bathroom too!

" I- , I wanted to-. The forest we went to was nice" I stuttered without thinking and jumped out of the bathroom slamming the door behind me. I leaned on it, waving my hand to cool down my blazing blush.

Oh god why, this is not the time to send hot boys in my life.

He knocked on the door and I jumped again. "The bathroom is free" Zane's voice came through the door and I took a deep breath to calm my racing heart. I can't be crushing on Zane when I have, when we have a government to prove wrong.

But he did look nice.

" Ahhh, not now" I muttered to myself and closed my eyes as the stupid butterflies started dancing in my stomach.

I need to talk to Valine and Maven fast, I don't think I can handle this without doing anything stupid.

But it sparked another thought. I haven't talked to Maven since that day, I did got dismissed from the team but it wasn't her fault, not competently. Maybe this can be used to break the ice.

If only that board member, Mr.Nanthanal Sorin hadn't interfered. But he did and there was nothing that could be done against a board member. The Board consists of about 15 people, elected by all the governors, but they hold some special political powers, like having the last say in the decision. Every law needs to be voted by them before anything can be implemented. No one in the school was in the position to argue against him.

I sighed at the thoughts, I need a shower to get rid of these gloomy thoughts. But looking at the positive side it did gave me an opportunity to come to Urydale. If it weren't for that I would have been busy on the field preparing for the next match against the team from Nortis. A rival academy from the adjacent state. But my heart still ached in longing, Mr.Ozaki's whistle and the training field would have felt like a comfort.

I have a few hours before Kayden calls I can use a nice shower with some music to relax.

After a much needed long shower I dressed in a sunflower printed top and skirt and climbed down the stairs to the kitchen in hopes of chatting with Kera to pass the day.

I found her in the kitchen instead, arranging a basket on the counter. She looked up at me as I entered the kitchen.

" Oh you look beautiful. Here Zane is waiting outside" Kera said and handed with the picnic basket. I tilted my head with a confused look. Why is Zane waiting outside?

Kera ushered me to the door and I decided to just go and check myself. I don't remember Zane telling me that he was taking me somewhere. Are we having another meeting?

I stepped out of the door and it was like Deja Vu. Zane was leaning on his bike, dressed in a baby blue shirt and white shorts. Shades blocked his blue eyes and I blushed again at the sight.

Oh he looks more than nice.

I walked to him with a hand blocking the glaring sun and the other hand holding the basket. " Ah where are we going?" I asked him with confusion.

" He took his shades off and frowned at me in return," didn't you said that you wanted to go to the clearing again"

I blushed more, probably turning like a cherry but I nodded, casting my eyes downward. Stupid Ariel. Why did I have to shutter so much that he thought I wanted to go to the clearing again. I slept the last time we went there, wasn't that embarrassing enough.

But a picnic doesn't sound so bad, not when Kera is waving at us from the door.

But a stupid thought crossed my mind. Are we going on a date?

And I might as well change my name to Apple with how red I turned at that thought.
