Leader's Log: This is Natalie Thompson. It is now January and ive been rather busy getting everyone settled here considering its snowing in Glen Burnie I almost can't believe it. The gang and I are working through it. We have a couple new "ADDITIONS" to our group. Their names are Haley Moats, Emaan Wardak, Brian Kaczorowski, Craig Rupert, James Mcdonald.
This is how we found our friends. It was before the first snow fall of winter and we were all out searching for a new shelter so we wouldn't have to continue to stay in the liquor store, where we are running out of supplies. So we started to look around for empty buildings. As you might think most the buildings after the apocolypse looked that way. So the only choice we had was to search them. It would be getting dark soon. So we decided to turn in for the night. Before we could get too close to the store Daniel and I heard a CRASH come from one of the houses!!! "Daniel get everyone back to the store. Madi come with me we're gonna go check this out." I said " Natalie, you think I'm just gonna leave you here?!?!?!" Daniel argued. "DANIEL THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT YOUR GONNA DO!" I demanded. After, that argument I knew i'd have a lot of explaining to do. I was doing it to protect him.
" What was that all about Nat?" Madi asked once we were at a safe distance. " I had to Mads he wouldn't have left if I hadn't and you know that as well as I do..." I said " Yea but did you really have to yell at him?" "Yes, Madi I did because.... His heart is getting worse Madi. Daniel shouldn't be in the field. Can we just stop talking about this now please?"
Madi and I had finally made it to the top floor of the house. it had four bed rooms up there one was what appeared to be a storage room, one was a young girls room with barbie dolls spread out across the floor. " they must of left in a hurry." said Madi from behind me "yeah i guess so." I agreed " I remember when I used to play with these things. Thinking on it now it all seems so pointless at this point." i said with anger in my voice. " It's not pointless Nat it's just part of your child hood that I suggest that you keep with you." Madi said attempting to cheer me up in some way I suppose. " Madi somethings are better left behind." i said as I went to close the door behind me something stopped it from closing. "Natalie?" i heard some one ask from behind the door. "Wh-Who's there?" I asked as the door flung open.
Haley stood in the door way with the look of pure Shock as tears began to fall from her eyes as she jumped into my arms. Madi stops us both from falling as she joined the hug. " OH MY GOD NATTY !!! HOW'D YOU GET OUT?!" Haley said frantically into my sweat shirt "Hales how did we get out!? how long have you been out here the whole time by yourself??" I said kind of worried. "Actually no everyone else is on a food run." haley said backing up away from me and Madi " What do you mean everyone else?" said Madi looking slighty shocked " You mean there are more survivors?" I asked. " Yea there's Me, Emaan, Brian, Craig, and James Mcdonald. We were all so worried about what happened to you guys.." Haley said as her voice trailed off. I froze in shock after hearing the names of friends i had believed to have died since the turn. "Nat? you alright?" asked Madi in a low tone that felt so distant at that it was barely a whisper within my ear. I walked away without saying a word. I went to sit outside before I could sit i saw them staring at me as if they didn't know me.
Brian just stared at me... They all did. "Who are you" asked Brian in rough tone as if he'd been yelling a lot lately. "You honestly don't remember me?" I asked as tears stained my face. "No, I'm afraid we don't." Brian said just glaring at me like i was his enemy. " BRIAN! Don't hurt her.... It's Natalie." said Haley in a starteled voice as I turn to face the front end of brian's gun. "Nat...Natalie?" I heard Brian say in his voice that sounded as if he had been sick with strep throat. Next thing i knew Brian and the rest of the group were hugging both me and Madi like it was the end of the school year and we were all saying good bye but instead we were finaly saying hello....
