CHAPTER 6: Efforts being paid

"Blood Demon Technique...Inordinate Collision!" the demon threw a punch directing to Ayume. Ayume dodged which made the demon break the ground and grow in size.

"It's absorbing the shock from the impact...she's growing..." Ayume thought and faced the demon. The demon faced Ayume with dark and brutal eyes. Ayume wasn't fazed and stood calmly. She then got into a stance and took out one of her swords.

"Breath of Light. Fourth Form, One-armed Luminous Movement." Ayume had no expressions anymore and went forward for a direct attack.

"So fast...!" The demon was shocked as she took a moment to dodge the attack from Ayume. The demon took some time to absorb Ayume's attacks and managed to hit Ayume away.

"She absorbed my attack..." Ayume thought and she stood back up.

"I need to go faster..." She said to herself and got into a quick stance.

"Breath of Light. Sixth Form, One-armed Light Speed." Ayume ran to the demon and a great speed. She was close to cut the demon's head.

"Oh no-" Ayume noticed a punch from the side and didn't have time to react. She got hit by the head and she crashed into a house. Her head was already bleeding.

"I guess...at every shock it absorbs..." The demon smirked and lets out a laugh.

"It gains speed too..." Ayume was trying to get her breathing constant back. She then gets up and took out her other sword.

"I shouldn't hold back..." Ayume told herself and got into a stance.

"Breath of Light. Fifth Form, Blinding Bite." Ayume starts running around to distract the demon. She did a few cuts on the demon and went behind it.

"Breath of Light. Third Form, Shine Slash." Ayume went for the opening to cut the demon's head. However, the demon noticed Ayume from the back and reacted in time.

"Blood Demon Technique...Energy Shock!" The demon starts bursting energy shock waves which made Ayume fly away. Ayume's head was bleeding a lot more.

"Oh no..." Ayume thought to herself as she lands on the ground. She noticed the village people looking out from their houses with fear.

"I need...to protect them..." Ayume told herself as she tries to get up. She starts to breathe properly to get her constant. The demon was walking slow and large steps towards Ayume.

"Why..? Are you finsished already..? Huh?" The demon sang out sadistically. Ayume remained silent and empty.

"Breath of Light. Seventh Form, Dance of Darklight." Ayume starts running towards the demon gracefully and got a direct cut off of it.

"Blood Demon Technique. Collision Growth!" The demon starts to grow bigger and kicked Ayume away. Ayume crashed into another house.

"Get up..." Ayume saw the people in the house. She smiled and got up.

"Stay in here, alright?" Ayume said kindly and went back out. She noticed that the demon was now very tall.

"It grew...definitely..." Ayume pointed out in her head. She took a stance and slided to the demon's feet.

"Breath of Light. Eighth Form, Dimlight." Ayume starts attacking low, building her way up the demon's body. The demon has hard skin so it was harder to penetrate. Ayume kept going anyway.

"Blood Demon Technique. Absorption!" The demon absorbed Ayume's attacks and lashed it back to her. Ayume went back to the ground.

"I can't even get close..." She said in a panic. Her breathing starts getting irregular and she tries to get up.
