Rose and Robin Part 2

Eight years later, "Come on Rose wake up!" Robin said as he shook his big sister excitedly.

"I'm up Little Robin." Rose said still a little bit tired. "Come on let's go Rose, Derek said that he would let us spar with each other today!" Robin said happily.

Rose soon followed her younger brother Robin outside. Derek stood behind the barracks waiting for the two kids.

After that night Derek decided to take Rose and Robin in, becoming something like a surrogate uncle to them, training them to become guards.

"Oi, kids you two ready to start today's training?" Derek said.

"We sure are Derek!" Robin said excitedly. Rose just smiled at how excited her little brother was, even though he had been training for a little over eight years at this point, athough at this point in time she had been training for a little while longer since she was older.

Even though she was still grieving her sister Little Sparrow she still had to put on a brave face in front of Little Robin because she had to stay strong for him.

"All right then Robin first we'll go over the basics again one last time, and Rose you go ahead and practice what I've taught you for a little while."

Derek then led Rose and Robin over to some practice dummies he had set up for the two to practice training with.

After a few hours of training, "Alright Robin this is your final test before you become a fully fleged guard, since Rose has already finished her training I would like for the two of you to spar, whoever disarms the other wins." said Derek.

"Alright Little Robin come at me." said Rose." "You sure you can beat me Rose?" said Robin smirking. "We'll see soon enough Little Robin." said Rose gripping her sword tightly.

Robin was the first one to swing, but Rose managed to block the attack, sending one of her own back at Robin, but Robin deflected it. They went back and fourth for a while. Until Robin did a flurry of attacks that ended with Rose's sword being sliced in half, which surprised everyone.

"How'd I do?" asked Robin still clutching his sword tightly.
"You only went and broke my sword!" said Rose still holding up the bottom half of her sword with the blade cut in half.

"So I guess I win?" asked Robin.
"Guess so Little Robin." said Rose. "Ok Robin now that you have passed your final test I'm going to let you and Rose have the rest of the day off. Remember Robin that tomorrow will be your first day as a guard, so I will have Rose show you the ropes." said Derek.

"Ok then see you later Derek." said Robin as him and Rose went off to celebrate Robin passing his guard's training.

"So Little Robin where do you think we should go to celebrate you passing your guard's training?" ask Rose. "How about the tavern?" said Robin.

"Fine, but only because you passed your guard's training, and remember don't drink too much, you know what happened last time you did." said Rose. "Yeah sorry again about that." said Robin slightly blushing after remembering last time. "It's ok Little Robin, I know you weren't thinking straight." said Rose remembering the last time about a few months ago and how Robin had practically begged her to come with him, and how after a few too many drinks ended up very drunk, and for some reason or another decided to try and kiss Rose and he almost did but, ended up falling on the floor and passing out instead.

Soon the two arrived at the Bowerstone tavern. Robin ordered a beer and Rose decided to get a glass of wine.

"You ready for your first day as a guard tommorow Little Robin?" asked Rose. "Yeah I can't believe that tomorrow will be my first day as a guard." said Robin nervously.

"You alright Little Robin?" asked Rose. "Yeah just a bit nervous." said Robin. "That's ok Little Robin I was nervous my first day too, so just do your best." said Rose. "I will, thanks for that Rose." said Robin. "Your welcome Little Robin." said Rose.
A few hours later the two decided to head back to the guard barracks.

On the way back,
"Hey Rose?" asked Robin. "Yes Little Robin?" said Rose. "Do you ever think about Sparrow?" said Robin. "All the time Little Robin, what about you?" responded Rose with a hint of sadness in her voice. "There are sometimes that still I think about her, I really miss her Rose, I miss Sparrow." said Robin with tears in his eyes. "I miss Sparrow too Little Robin." said Rose about to cry herself.

After a little while Rose and Robin were at the guard barracks. The two went to bed excited for tommorow, but also sad after the conversation they just had not too long ago.

The next morning, "Come on Little Robin wake up, it's time for your first day as a guard." said Rose. "I'm up Rose." said Robin.

"Then come on and get your guard outfit on, then meet me out front so we can get our aassignment for the day, and you can get your weapons." said Rose.
"Ok Rose." said Robin.

Soon Robin arrived out front, ready for the day ahead of him.
"Ok Robin since today is your first day I am going to have you go with Rose on her assignment." said Derek. "Ok Derek." said Robin. "Ok Rose today I will have you two stationed in Old Town." said Derek. "Alright Derek." said Rose.

Rose and Robin were soon in Old Town which had become much nicer since Derek had become sheriff after Rose, Robin and Sparrow had given him the arrest warrants.

"So Rose what exactly do we do, besides well guard things?" asked Robin. "Well Little Robin we basically walk around Old Town watching out for thieves and when we see them we catch and arrest them." said Rose. "That doesn't sound too bad." says Robin.

"Hey Rose do you happen to know whatever happened to Arfur?" asked Robin. "Well one time he tried something when he saw me in my guard uniform, after that he learned real quick that if he tried anything with me now he would more than likely get shot or something, which means that I haven't seen too much of him now a days which I'm glad of." replied Rose. "Well I'm happy for you Rose I remember him always trying to get you to have sex with him." said Robin.

Soon after Robin and Rose saw Arfur trying to get a orphan girl to have sex with him in exchange for food. The two decided to go up to him.

"Up to your old tricks again I see?" said Rose. "Don't see how it's any of your business." replied Arfur. "It's our business because your harassing this poor girl!" replied Robin. "Now scram Arfur before we make you." replied Rose.

Arfur realizing that he was outnumbered decided to cut his losses and leave.

"I can't believe that he was trying that again Rose!" said Robin. "That's the third time this month he's done that." replied Rose.

The two then decided to check on the girl.
"You ok?" asked Robin. "Yes thanks to you two." replied the twelve year old girl.

Soon the young girl ran off. Robin then turned to Rose. "I think we did good sis." said Robin. "I think we did too." said Rose. "Well let's get back to it." said Robin.

Soon the day was over and Rose and Robin headed back to the barracks. Robin tired after his first day as a guard.
