We had fallen asleep, and when we woke up, I had sunburn, and six missed calls from my mom. I deleted the voicemails and notifications and turned my phone off.

"My parents are going to be home soon, want to go get ready?" Connor asked, standing up.

"No," I replied, curling up into a ball.

"Come onnnnn, Charlie, our shower is really nice. And really big. Big enough for two," he tempted.

"Fine." I said, stubbornly, but secretly looking forward to it.

"Good," he replied, taking my hand and leading me upstairs.

We undressed and stepped into the shower. Together. I had shared the most intimate moments of my life with a guy that I had only known for a week. But it felt so right.

We dried off and he took me into Haley's closet to pick out something to wear for dinner.

"Connor, I can't wear your sister's clothes," I said, eyeing some beautiful tops.

"Why not?" He asked.

"It'd be so weird. I'd sit down and she'd be like, 'hey is that my top?' and I'd just be like, 'yeah' and then she'd just think I'm pathetic, ya know?" I explained.

"No, I don't know. It's honestly fine, she won't even notice," he replied, embracing me. He was probably right, her walk-in closet was almost the same size as my closet back home.

"Fine," I said, digging through the clothes. Every article of clothing was so soft, and delicate looking, I was afraid that I would damage them. Connor left, and I finally decided on a pair of pink shorts and a flowy white top. I changed, and joined Connor in his room.

"See? Her clothes fit you perfectly, but I'm not sure how I feel about my girlfriends resembling my sister..." He commented as I sat down on his bed.

"Oh, I'm your girlfriend now?"

"Well, if you want to be," he flirted back, buttoning up his shirt.

"Eh, I'm not sure yet. Give me some time to consider it," I teased, kissing him.

"Oh, look at that, time's up. Now you have to be my girlfriend," he kissed me back and I was on cloud nine.

We went downstairs and I saw his parents standing in the kitchen.

"Hey Mom, hey Dad," Connor greeted.

"Hey Bud, what's up?" His Dad replied. Connor and his father looked almost identical. Despite the obvious age difference, they could be brothers. Talk about a DILF.

"I invited Charlie over for dinner," he replied, introducing me.

"Oh hello!" Connor's mom exclaimed, as she crossed the kitchen to hug me, "We've heard so much about you, it's nice to finally be able to put a face to the name!"
"Nice to meet you two as well," I replied, smiling.

"I'm Victoria, and this is my husband, Thomas."

"I'm Charlotte."

"Oh honey, we already know all about you," Victoria replied, smiling widely.

Victoria prepared dinner and Connor, Thomas, and I talked in the kitchen, keeping her company. I was surprised by how normal his family was. I had always imagined rich families to be cold and condescending, but the Fitzpatricks were the complete opposite. They made me feel welcome.

We sat down to dinner, after Haley had returned from her boyfriend's house. We ate turkey burgers and salad.

"That was delicious," I commented after I had finished my last bite.

"Oh good! I'm glad you liked it," Victoria replied. Everyone else chimed in on how good the dinner was.

"Now Charlotte, how much longer are you staying in The Hamptons?" Thomas questioned me.

"I leave in six days." I replied, solemnly, looking at Connor.

"That's too bad, we were hoping you'd be here for the fourth of July." Victoria said.

"Nope I'll be gone long before that."

"Well, just in case you want to stay, you're always welcome," Victoria told me.

"Strictly In the guest bedroom, of course," Thomas added.

"Dad," Connor groaned.

"Kidding, kidding," Thomas replied, putting his hands up in surrender, "but I'm really not kidding. No sharing a bedroom under my roof."

"Of course, thank you for the offer," I replied.

We continued talking for at least another hour and I couldn't believe how easy they were to be around.
