"that is not a graduation gift" Kairi said as we looked at the book isle
"what do you know about graduation gifts? Not like anyone you know has graduated" I said putting back the book I was holding
I just thought a book would be a good gesture, I even heard that to all the boys I've loved is good so I said why not but I guess mr.knowitall here knows it all and thinks my idea was terrible.
"I know that when you graduate you'll be grateful to not read books anymore and showing up with a book as a gift isn't great" I rolled my eyes because he's somewhat right. I would be mad if someone gave me a book as a gift
"You guys are so complicated, go with a gift card" Alejandro said, is this dude serious ? A gift card is basic and I don't want to give anna something basic. She deserves something better, something around my budget but you get the idea.
"No" Kairi and I said at the same time
"it's like showing no effort in a gift" Kairi said
"oh well I've been giving out gift cards my whole life" Alejandro said shrugging
"Yeah we know" Kairi and I looked at each other because every year for our birthdays he gives us a gift card with fifteen dollars in it. I'm not complaining but the same thing every year?
we continued to walk around target trying to find the perfect gift for Annalise
"Okay hear me out" Alejandro said making us stop in the middle of the hallway "a bracelet" he pointed over to the jewelry section
"when she goes to college she'll have something that reminds her of us" he continued saying showing us a gold bracelet with an infinity sign
"say we won't get her this instead" Kairi said showing us a gold bracelet with a heart, mom engraved in it
"we won't" Alejandro said making them both look at me waiting for an answer
"We won't" I don't think it's a bad idea, it'll have a joke and she will remember us with it
as soon as we got out of target someone with a big camera started to walk infront of us, pointing the camera to us
"hey man can you not do that" I said in the nicest way possible
"I work for Hollywood fix and the fans want to know, are you and Annalise together? We seen you guys been hanging out recently and we want to know if the rumors are true" a tall man with dark brown hair said looking behind me every minute, I guess to try not trip on something
"No, we are not yet. we are just friends" I said with a small smile. This guys has said like two sentences and he's already annoying
"Did you ever caught feelings for her during the fake dating?"
"no comment" Why would be even ask that. I mean yeah Annalise is a great girl, she's beautiful and her personality is the best and the way her eyes have a small shine in them everytime I look at her are all great reasons why someone would like her but not me
"what about you Kairi? Have you talked to Celia recently?" The Hollywood fix guy said as we continued walking to the car. How far did I even park
"No we haven't talked" he said also with a small smile
"hey man nice to to meet you but we gotta go" I said giving the guy a fist bump, the other boys doing the same
"that was weird why is even Hollywood fix in New Jersey, isn't it called Hollywood? For a reason" Kairi said as soon as we all got in the car waiting for the guy with the camera to walk away
"No one called him right" I said, the rest shaking their head
"Why did you say yet ?" Alejandro said, what does he mean ? I never said yet
"Right why did you ?" Kairi said
"When did I say yet ?"
"When he asked you if you guys were dating"
"You said no we are not yet"
Did I really say yet ? I didn't even notice. I already know that tiktokroom is going to make that into a big thing when it really isn't.
"I didn't notice" I said nervously, what if anna gets mad at me, I didn't actually mean to say yet, it just slipped.
