---------------
After running for what felt like forever, we arrived at a building.
"What's this place?" I asked.
Taehyung didn't answer me. He didn't let go of my wrist either. He took me with him inside. Once we got in, he headed straight for an elevator. The sixth floor button was pushed. We rode all the way up, got off, and turned left.
Oh.
"This is,"
Taehyung turned to face me.
"My apartment."
My eyes widened a little.
"Really? When did you get it?"
"A couple days ago, but I wanted to surprise you."
"What about your parents and siblings?"
"They'll live. And don't worry, I already told them about everything. But my eomma was a little pissed when she found out your eomma was . . . doing these things."
Taehyung let go of my hand and unlocked the door. Once we had stopped running, my regular symptoms were coming back. Taehyung led us inside, it was pretty dark. The moon was shining through, and the streetlamps provided enough light.
I walked in and Taehyung closed the door. He then walked past me.
"I'm just going to grab a couple things," he said.
I nodded, sleepily.
Once he was gone, I didn't feel too great. My head fell down, and my shoulder dropped. Being out in the rain for so long wasn't a good idea.
*cough* *cough*
My throat was sore. Taehyung came back in after he heard me coughing.
"You really are sick, huh?" he said in a soft tone.
I groaned.
He took me by the wrist again, and led me to the washroom. I stood still while he fumbled through the medicine cabinet.
"Here," he said, handing me a small cup of cough syrup.
I took it out of his fingers, and sipped it.
I dropped the cup after; I was really tired. With my head being down, my neck started to ache. Then I felt something fluffy on my head. Taehyung ruffled my hair with a towel to get it dry.
"You're kinda cute when you're sick," he chuckled.
"Shut up . . ."
He finished drying me off, then took my wrist again. We walked out of the washroom and turned to his bedroom. Even though he just moved in, he had some nice furniture. His bed was bigger than his old one.
"Taehyung you'll get sick," I mumbled.
"Don't worry about it, you're tired."
He let go of my wrist and pulled the blanket off the right side of the bed.
"Here," he said, gesturing me to climb in.
I slowly walked and propped my knee on the bed. I lifted myself up, and slid my legs under the blankets. Once my head hit the pillow, my eyes closed immediately. It was the best thing I felt in a while.
"Goodnight, Kookie."
I let out a sleepy sigh.
Taehyung pulled the blanket all the way up under my nose. He then moved over me to the left side of the bed. He too laid down, and threw his arm over me.
"I missed you," he said.
I didn't have the strength to talk anymore. Taehyung would understand that.
---------------
Taehyung and I woke up pretty early. Even though I was sick, I didn't want to miss school. Especially today.
Later at night, Taehyung got a phone call from my eomma. (I literally have no idea how she got his number.) She told him that the both of us should come into school half an hour early to discuss matters with my parents, the both of us, and the principal. So Taehyung and I were getting dressed.
*cough* *cough*
"Are you sure you can go?" Taehyung asked, buttoning his shirt.
"Yeah, we've been waiting for this. I'm not missing it." I threw on my hoodie. I'm the person who will wear almost the same colours or style everyday.
"Ready?" Taehyung asked, turning toward me.
I nodded.
---------------
Taehyung drove us to school. We got out and started walking through the parking lot. At that moment, my parents' car pulled into a spot. I took a deep breath and chose to ignore them. Taehyung could tell I was nervous, so he slid his hand into mine. It did feel better.
We got to the school first, with my parents a few feet away. We both checked in and headed to the principal's office.
"Tae, shouldn't you're parents be here?" I asked him, walking down the hall.
"They're a bit more chill. If I told them I got it, then they'll let me handle it."
"Huh, must be nice," I said.
I gripped the office door with my free hand and twisted it. Mr. Kang was at his desk waiting for us.
"Jungkook, Taehyung come in," he said.
I let go of Taehyung's hand to have a seat. Once we were seated, my parents came in. They too had a seat opposite from us.
"Okay we don't have a lot of time," Mr. Kang said. "I'd like to address the issue that's been happening for a month now."
