CHAPTER FIFTY-FIVE

A groan left his mouth as he moved. The beeping sound and familiar scent made his nose scrunch as he slowly opened his eyes. Taking time for his vision to get clear, he was greeted by several familiar men around him.

"HE'S AWAKE!"

Taeil immediately ran to the boy, checking him here and there.

"T-taeil hyung?"

"Jisung, I'm glad you're awake."

"WHERE'S NAIH!?"

He sat up, not minding the pain all over his body.

"Jisung.. Kun and Ten went back inside to look for her." Yangyang softly said, hoping that he'd calm down.

His eyes trailed around as he recognized that he's in their medical room.

Xiaojun and Hendery are still unconscious due to the sudden attack around the area. So far, they brought the men down, but they also fell down. Good thing Taeil is there to help, along with Doyoung, who showed up defenseless.

Chenle also lay there, making him regret the one thing that he did.

"But Naih.."

"Jisung, in this state, you are—"

"I DON'T CARE!"

Jisung jumped out of the bed, removing the tubes. Wincing and limping didn't stop him from grabbing knives and guns.

"Jisung, please.."

"Yang, don't even start with me."

Yangyang stepped back after meeting the boy's glare.

"At least wear this." Doyoung threw a bulletproof vest.

"Thanks" he said, a small smile.

"I'll go with you."

"No, Yang, this area needs a man. I'm sure I'll meet Kun and Ten on the way."

Throwing one last look, Jisung nodded and strode towards the door, getting out.

"Why are you not doing anything to stop him?" Yangyang raised a brow.

"He won't listen anyway" Taeil sighed.

A deep voice lingered in the man's ear, which made him turn around, but he was greeted by a knife digging into his chest.

Twisting the knife before pulling it out, Jisung made his way effortlessly to the black door.

Pulling the trigger here and swinging his knives there, blood was everywhere. He doesn't care. His wounds became numb, as the beating of his heart was the only thing he could feel.
