I woke up to the sound of Jack cursing to himself as he tripped over an empty coke bottle. Wait. Jack?
I sat up abruptly and looked around. Records. Lots of records. Plants. Hanging plants. Low ceiling. Metal ceiling? Shelves. Shelves with stuff on them. Books. Books littering the floor. The floor. Metal floor with a rug on top? Bed. Bed with soft sheets. Bed with lots of pillows. Comfy bed. Bell bottoms. Red tie shirt. Loafers on the floor in front of the bed. Wait, those are my loafers. And those are my clothes!
I looked down on my body and saw only my lace, silk underwear and bra set. I quickly covered myself with the white sheets and tried to assess the situation.
I'm in a van. Was I kidnapped? No, Jack is here. Jack is here! I'm in Jack's van. Why am I in Jack's van? And why am I not clothed? Sex. Did I sleep with Jack last night? Why don't I remember? Was I drunk? No, I only had coke. My eyes widened as I came to a conclusion. Did Jack spike my drink? Why would he do that?
"You okay Peaches?"
I flinched and scrambled further into the sheets. "Oh um yes." I replied, still slowly trying to process what was happening.
"Hm, okay." he said, unsure of how I was feeling and picked up the coke bottle on the floor before moving to exit the van.
"Wait, Jack."
He turned around quickly and leaned against the door. "Yeah?"
I propped my head up with my fingers and tapped them against my lips uncomfortably, trying to avoid asking the dreaded question. "Did we?" I asked, pointed back and forth between the two of us. I held the sheets tighter around my body, scared to hear the answer.
He looked confused but then nodded. "Yeah." he said simply, shrugged, and then opened the door to leave before I stopped him.
"What? Jack!" I yelled. He jumped and walked back in, his brows knit in confusion and his eyes looked into mine with sweet innocence.
"It's not a big deal, Peaches, chillax."
I smacked my hands to my face and fell back onto the bed. "Not a big deal? Jack we had sex! That is 100% a big deal! Why don't I remember it? Did you spike my coke?" I started to throw accusations at him and sat up to carefully observe his reaction to my questions.
His jaw fell and his eyes appeared to pop out of his head. He stumbled to sit on the small chair across from me and leaned his head in his hands. "We had sex and I didn't remember? God I have the worst luck in the world."
I stared at him in disbelief. "Wait, so we didn't have sex? I thought you just said-"
He interrupted me and looked up. "As far as I can remember, no, we did not have sex. And I never said we did!"
"Yes you did! Just now I asked, did we? And you said yes!" I shifted in the bed, trying to process all the information being shot at me right now.
He smacked his hand to his head and laughed to himself before answering. "I thought you were asking if we fell asleep! Ace, you fell asleep last night while you were counting the stars, so I carried you to my van."
I broke eye contact with him and stared at the rug on the floor. "Did you sleep with me?"
"No! What kind of person do you think I am? I slept in my apartment across the street, it's right next to the lounge."
I thought to myself, trying to find more questions to ask to figure out what was going on. "Then why are my clothes off and on the floor?"
He stared at the clothes before looking back into my eyes. "That, I don't know. I did not take them off you, so I assume you just took them off yourself and forgot."
