I stood there in front of her in shock.
"You... what?" I couldn't find the right words.
She just stared at me and I could see so many emotions in her eyes. But, what really stood out is the anger and hatred.
"You..." I trailed off. "You remember me?"
She smiled bitterly, "Unfortunately, I do remember you... big brother."
It's happening. She finally remembers me as her big brother, but why does she look so angry and full of hatred?
"Oh Hyuna, I've been waiting for this day that you could finally remember me and everything from your past," I told her in relief.
But, her lips turned to a frown instead of the gummy smile that I expected from her.
"Hyuna...?"
She chuckled and I could hear the pain in her voice.
"Glad to see you happy knowing that I remember you," She said. "But, I don't feel the same, sorry."
I looked at her in shock.
"What do you mean? I'm your brother!" I told her. "Aren't you happy that you finally remember me?"
She sighed, "I know you're my brother, how can I ever forget about the same person who left me and abandoned me?!"
My throat went dry.
"I wish I actually had amnesia so that I could finally forget about the brother I loath so much," She added and her voice was dripping with anger.
"Wait, so you didn't have amnesia?" I asked her.
She shrugged, "I wish! Forgetting someone like you would be a blessing!"
"Why?" I asked as I could feel my heart breaking.
"Why would you want to forget me? Why do you hate me so much?"
She fell silent and gave me an icy glare.
"It seems like you're the one who had an amnesia, dear brother," She said.
"Did you really forget how you abandoned me in our father's house and never came back?!" I could see her tears fall and her voice crack.
"You even had the AUDACITY to make a promise that you'll come back for me and then as the naive little girl that I am, I waited for my dear big brother," She paused.
"But, you never came back."
I looked at her with wide eyes.
"No! Hyuna, no! You got it all wrong, I—" I wasn't able to finish my sentence when she cuts me off.
