5 Years Later
Bardock is returning from battle to Planet Vegeta. Frieza has ordered all the Saiyans to return home. Leek wakes him from sleep to let him know they are about to arrive.
Leek: Bardock... Bardock!
Bardock: What?
Leek: We're almost to Planet Vegeta. It's been a long time, huh?
Bardock: Yeah.
Leek: Hey Saro we're almost there to Planet Vegeta.
A man comes from the back looks out to see there close to reaching Planet Vegeta.
Saro: *Sigh* Finally, I thought it was gonna take forever.
Leek: So what do you suppose this is about, ordering the Saiyans to hurry and assemble to Planet Vegeta?
Saro: I don't know what do you think Bardock?
Bardock: Look over there.
Leek &Saro: Huh?
Frieza's spaceship is already in the planet's orbit, but it will be some time before all the Saiyans return to the planet.
Bardock: That's Frieza's ship.
Leek: There's still some time left, but it's already standing by?
Bardock: You don't think it's strange?
Saro: Strange about what?
Bardock: If he wants to speak to us, he doesn't need to bring us back to the planet, he could just use the radio. If he wants to give us new weapons, there's no point in gathering us together. There really is something fishy going on here.
Leek: Huh? What do you mean, fishy?
Bardock: Conquering planets and selling them has always been the livelihood of the warrior Saiyan race. then Frieza's father, Cold, subjugated us by force and placed us under his rule.
Saro: You really think so?
Bardock: Yeah.
Leek: But that was a long time ago, right?
Bardock: Do you think we're getting along well now?
Leek: Well, there aren't any Saiyans that like Frieza.
Bardock: And Frieza likely feels the same about the Saiyans...
Saro: I think what Bardock said may prove a point.
Leek: Huh?
Bardock: Right now, the Frieza Force has grown larger. They could probably get by even without us annoying Saiyans around.
They enter the atmosphere with dozens of other ships and land in Bardock's village and disembarks.
Leek: You're not saying that he's planning to exterminate us, are you?
Bardock: I'm just saying, maybe. Let's go Saro.
Saro: Yeah, yeah I'm coming.
Taro: Yo, Bardock! Made it back alive, huh?
Bardock: Hey, do you know the reason for this summons order?
Taro: Beats me. Maybe they found a fairly big-league world to go after.
Taro then mentions that Frieza has been asking around about the legendary Super Saiyan, which makes Bardock even more suspicious. On Frieza's ship, Kikono is telling Frieza that the legends of the Super Saiyan and the Super Saiyan God are just that...legends. Frieza agrees, but he doesn't want to take any chances, and this is the perfect opportunity to wipe out the Saiyans once and for all.
