News

the wolves are gone, and have taken 100 prey with them.

The moonlight glittered a gentle kind of grey upon Turtleclan's camp, illuminating the fur of a certain cat who made their way across the clearing. The cat's eyes shone with determination as bright as the moon.
They knew they had to act quickly- and fast. They could not disappoint, or they would surely be punished severely. They tensed slightly at the thought, halting their steps as they approached the training area.
The cat's eyes narrowed, glancing out in the training area. Their tail swished behind them as they appeared from behind the bush, startling the fluffy brown tabby in front of them.
"Oh, jeez, you scared me!" Canopypaw laughed, "What are you doing out here so late at night?"
"I could ask you the same thing," the cat responded with a smile. "But I couldn't sleep. Something's.... been on my mind."
Canopypaw nodded, an understanding look on her face. "Hey, I understand it. I've had a lot on my mind too," she said with a small sigh. Her muzzle turned towards the sky, blinking as she scanned the stars above.
"I find the beauty of the stars above quite calming when I am having troublesome thoughts," Canopypaw said softly, closing her eyes with a smile. "It makes all my worries fade away."
The cat's stomach grew sick as Canopypaw spoke. Immense worry and guilt clawed at their stomach, causing the cat to shuffle their paws uncomfortably. But they knew what they needed to do.
"Canopypaw," the cat said, voice cracking slightly. "I'm sorry. I need this."
Canopypaw's ear turned up slightly in confusion, her head tilting slightly. "You're sorry? For what?"
But Canopypaw had no time to respond.
The stars were the last thing Canopypaw saw that night.
