News

Its now leaf-bare! All the herbs have frosted over, and are no longer usable.

Ashenwing has committed suicide!

The gray cat opened his eyes. He was here. He actually succeeded. Ashenwing placed a paw on the StarClan territory. He treaded lightly on the unfamiliar yet comforting territory. He swiveled his head side to side. 'Where are you?' He thought. His paces quickened. He passed many faces, some known, others unknown but didn't see her. Suddenly he caught a glimpse of a familiar pelt. "Featherstar," he whispered to himself in awe. He had been convinced he wouldn't see her again for a long time. But here she was. "Featherstar!" He cried out, rushing forward to greet his mate. Featherstar turned and a smile slowly spread across her face. "Ashenwing? Ashenwing! You're here!" Ashenwing tackled his mate and purred. "My love!" Featherstar purred back but then looked up at Ashenwing in confusion. "That means you're dead.... oh StarClan no! Ivydapple will be heartbroken!" The leader exclaimed. "How'd you die?" Ashenwing went pale. He wasn't expecting her to ask him that this soon. "Well, um," he started. Featherstar looked furious. "Ashenwing! How could you?!?! We have a living son down there who needed you! And you'd much rather just bite the dust for me instead of living your life with your family?!?! What about when you have grandkits? I'd want to see them! You wouldn't?" Ashenwing gulped. "I-I'm sorry. Everything was just so hard after your murder. I couldn't stand any of it. My mate, my love, was gone. I was desperate to get back to you. Please don't be mad!" Featherstar narrowed her eyes. "The tom I know would much rather stay with his family and try to see his grandkits than throw his life away," she said, turning her back. "W-where are you going?" Ashenwing cried, on the verge of tears. But Featherstar didn't answer, clearly frustrated by her mate's actions. Ashenwing began to cry. He did this to see her. To be happy again. But was it really worth it? He hoped she would come around. "I-I'm sorry, Ivydapple," he sobbed quietly. But his son couldn't hear him. Ashenwing lay his head on the starry ground. Why had he thrown his life away?
