That night, Kylie and her friend Cassandra were using roller blades to skate down the street, while Cassandra was pick pocketing the people they passed by.

"You gotta up your game if you don't wanna get caught," Kylie pointed out.

"My friend is Little Siren," Cassandra replied. "If I get caught, you could just sing to make sure they don't come after us."

Kylie smirked. "True.  Or I could kick their asses or scream. But that could kill, so..."

"So sticking to singing?" Cassandra asked.

"Or ass kicking," Kylie answered.

Kylie and Cassandra both smirked.

"Why do you always wear so bright and sparkly clothes anyway?" Cassandra asked.

"Because it announces to Gotham who the hell I am and who my mother is," Kylie answered. "Black Siren. And they know that we could kill them or control them to do anything, so if I wear clothes like this, it's a neon sign for them to know to stay the fuck away from me and the ones I care about. In this case, that means my only friend, which is you."

Cassandra smiled. "Awesome."

A woman noticed that Cassandra had pick pocketed her. "Hey, that girl stole my--"

"Kylie," Cassandra told her.

"Yep," Kylie answered, starting to swerve gracefully while skating down the sidewalk quickly, starting to sing a Siren song, stomping and clapping to the beat of the song, using it to control the others on the sidewalk to make sure they didn't come after them. "Well, buddy, you're a boy / Make a big noise / Playing in the street / Gonna be a big man someday / You got mud on your face, you big disgrace / Kicking your can all over the place, singing / We will, we will rock you." As Kylie and Cassandra continued to skate, and Cassandra continued to pick pocket, Kylie was still singing to make sure no one could come after them or stop Cassandra, while dancing around on her skates, picking up a pipe, hitting things with it to make the beat of the song. "We will, we will rock you." Kylie noticed that some of the guys that wanted to get to her and Donna were walking down the street, sighing in frustration, but shrugging, happy to have someone to beat up. "Buddy, you're a young man, hard man / Shouting in the street / Gonna take on the world someday." As one of the men tried to grab Kylie, Kylie used the pipe she was holding to hit him in the face hard as she zoomed past on her skates, hard enough to make him spin through the air and land on the ground. "You got blood on your face." She spun to kick another guy back into the wall, singing to make sure they didn't go after her or Cassandra. "You big disgrace / Waving your banner all over the place / Buddy, you're an old man, poor man / Pleading with your eyes / Gonna get you some peace someday / You got mud on your face, big disgrace." Kylie whipped around to kick the two men with her skates, flipping backward up to her feet. "Somebody better put you back into your place!"

Kylie did a few skate tapping dance moves, spinning around with her arms over her head, to kick the guys down, skating away toward Cassandra.

"You okay?" Cassandra asked.

"Yeah, nothing I couldn't handle," Kylie answered.

The two men were pushing themselves up.

"You need to come with us, Kylie," a man told her. "Someone would like to see you and your mother. Donna."

"Oh, right, okay," Kylie told them sarcastically. "Let me, just, uh, clear my schedule. Yeah, I think this could work. Uh, the 7th of never through the 15th of ain't gonna happen. How does that work for you guys?" The men tried to attack again, but Kylie released a Siren scream, emitting streams of energy to throw them to the ground, unconscious or dead. She turned to Cassandra, taking her hand to skate them away. "Come on."

"Did you kill them?" Cassandra asked.

"No," Kylie said. "Well, I don't know. Maybe. All I know is that we need to move."

Cassandra was impressed, smiling. "Awesome."

They laughed, continuing to skate down the street, until they heard an explosion down the way.

"What the hell was that?" Kylie asked. They skated down the street, seeing Ace Chemicals down the way, going up in flames. "Shit." Kylie found Harley's J necklace, picking it up. "Holy shit."

"What is it?" Cassandra asked.

Kylie held up the necklace. "Harley Quinn and he Joker broke up."

Completely confused, Cassandra frowned. "What?"

"My mother's friends with Harley, and I know this necklace is hers," Kylie explained. She pointed to Ace Chemicals. "This was their spot. She just publicly updated her relationship status. Harley Quinn just called open season on herself. She did not think this one through."

"Who are Harley and Joker?" Cassandra asked.

Kylie looked at her in confusion, disbelief. "The Joker. The Clown Prince of Crime, the Harlequin of Hate, the Ace of Knaves, the Jester of Genocide? Harley Quinn. The Cupid of Crime, the Maiden of Mischief? You don't know any of these names?"

"No," Cassandra answered. "I'm in foster care. I'm not from around here."

Kylie shrugged. "Well, that explains it. I need to talk to Mom. Harley's in so much shit. The only real friend she has in this city is Mom."

Cassandra nodded in understanding. Kylie and Cassandra skated away.

"Who were those guys that came after you earlier?" Cassandra asked.

"Just some scumbag wannabe gangstas that wanted to take me to get to my mom," Kylie answered. "She's one of the best mercenaries around." She turned to face Cassandra, holding out a watch with button on it. "Hey, they could come after you again to get to me though. So if you ever get into trouble, just push the button. My watch will let me know and it'll help me track your location so that I can help. Okay?"

Cassandra nodded in agreement. "Okay. Thanks, Kylie."

Kylie smiled. "Let's go before the cops get here."

Kylie and Cassandra skated away down the street, away from Ace Chemicals as the flames were still burning high behind them.
