I'm very lucky that the train drive to the Capitol is only 1 hour. But the train is filled with very tempting food, which makes it feel longer. But I have to remember that just because I'm not home, i still have to follow my parents many rules. Here is the list of them:
1. No sweets
2. Always be confident
3. No crying in public
4. Always smile
5. Always give your all
There is plenty more but those were the main ones. "Glimmer come sit with us." Cashmere (one of my mentors) says. I take a seat in a velvet chair. Gloss (my other mentor) says, "You two have a shot at winning. You guys have trained almost your whole lives." Knowing I have to act confident I said "I already know I am going to win." That was a big fat lie. Of course I wasn't going to win. Marvel smiles at me and laughs. I turn around and see the beautiful Capitol. It was humongous! I scurry over to the window, Marvel comes too. I look at him and he looks at me, I wanted to kiss him so bad. I turn away before I do. He then asks "Glimmer, are we friends?" I reply with "no" he looks sad. "We're best friends" I managed to mumble. He looked at me with his signature grin. I smiled back at him and started giggling.
