It's the day. I can't believe it. I hear a knock at the door and then Marvel walks in. He lays next to me. "Can you believe it" I look at him in confusion, "that we may never come home." He says. I look at him and start sobbing. He holds me in his arms and says "if we die, we will die together." Then we get called out for breakfast. I stuff myself with all kinds of food. Cashmere and Gloss give us some last pieces of advice. Before I knew it, it was time to go. Steelbert leads me to the plane. I get on. As soon as I get on, this woman walks over with a metal rod. She says "give me your arm." I lift my arm up, then she inserts my tracker. It didn't hurt as bad as I thought it would. That plane lands and I get escorted into the launch room. Steelbert waited for me in there. I walk into the room and he gets me dressed into the clothes. "60 seconds" the speaker announces. A nervous feeling rises in me, but I keep it cool. "20 seconds" I stepped into the tube. Steelbert wishes me luck. The tube starts moving up. That's when I couldn't see anything, it was so bright. The final countdown from 60 started. My vision finally focused at around 27 seconds left. 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. "LET 74th HUNGER GAMES BEGIN!" I ran to the cornucopia. Blood was being splattered everywhere. Then the girl from District 8 runs towards me. I grabbed a knife and then stalled her. She fell over, but I just kept stabbing her over, and over, and over again. I'm not sure why but I thought it was an act of defiance. 11 tributes died at the cornucopia. After it was over we set up camp. We decided that at night we would go hunt for tributes. Then the sun set. So we headed out. We walked for about an hour. I stuck with Cato the whole time. Then we saw smoke from a fire. We started sprinting towards it. Poor girl, so innocent, but Cato sliced her head off. The cannon boomed. We decided then it was time to go back to camp. I fell asleep instantly.
