child

drabble 6: when your partner realizes that she wants to have a child in the future.

it became a habit for seokjin to never open up the talk about family after byulyi talks about her fear for building up a longer commitment in the near future when they first started dating.

it's not that she doesn't want to keep him for a serious relationship, she truly loves seokjin with all her heart.

but she made it clear for them to enjoy their youth together rather than focusing in the future that has no certainty.

they were truly different from each other when it comes to life. 

he likes to settle things for the future, but byulyi loves to live the moment. it was a struggle at first for them to manage their relationship. tons of fight here, there- and everywhere, but thankfully, they've been balancing each other out despite of their differences.

she keeps on comforting him to not worry about the future that's never known, and he keeps on making her lie low whenever she acts too carelessly with her life.

it might've been a struggle if they have given up in the first place, but at least they picked adjustment rather than their ego.

but he never expected one certain day to come.

he was lying around his bed, early in the morning. he's bound to drop himself off to byulyi's apartment by dinner and stay the night, but she suddenly called him, asking if he could come over earlier than lunch to help her out.

he asked her why.

her answer?

she needs to baby-sit her nephew. 

and she knows how much seokjin loves babies. 

TOO MUCH.

even faster than a lighting strike, seokjin immediately washed up without bothering to text her that he'll come over. after pampering himself with skin protection and bundle of clothes, he was interrupted by jungkook knocking on his door. "hyung, joonie-hyung is asking if you'd like some kimchi-stew to order by lunch?" he asks, surprised to see seokjin already dressed up.

"ah, you can minus two portions away since i'm eating lunch on byulie's." seokjin casually replied, wearing his cap. "i thought you're coming over by dinner?" jungkook steps aside to let the eldest walk out in order to wear his shoes.

"she just needs help with baby care, so i need to come by fast." he mumbles, standing up to watch jungkook in shambles with surprise. "you're already planning a family?" he frowns as he looks at seokjin, adding. 

"she just came back last week with a new album, are you leaving the group!?" jungkook exclaims, hearing seokjin howl into laughter.

"it's her nephew, dumbass!" seokjin ran out to the front door, telling his farewell within' the members.

but jungkook was still left shaken, allowing the members to ask him what's wrong.

"they're surely plotting about having a family sooner or later.." jungkook tilted his head, pursing his lips while calling for namjoon.

leaving his members behind, seokjin had already reached byulyi's flat.

surprised to see the mamamoo member slumped on the floor while using her high-pitched voice to beg her nephew to drink water from the baby bottle,

he realizes that she's been chasing her nephew alone for more than an hour that she needed help. 

and he was silently laughing at the view while she wasn't noticing his presence at the hallway.
