Chapter 2: Chamomile Tea

'You look beautiful today'. Today? Huh! What does he mean by today? I'm always beautiful!

I mean, I know right? I'm fully aware that I'm beautiful.

What I'm not fully aware of is kung sino ang nagsulat sa papel. When Yves and I looked at each other earlier, tinaasan ako nito ng kilay. That's when I knew that he's not the one who put the paper. Weird and creepy kung sakaling siya.

Based on our first encounter, so impossible. He is the type of guy that is straightforward and honest when it comes to his feelings, who can become blunt at times and still be unbothered. That's what i noticed about him. Kaya kung siya 'yun, sasabihin niya agad sa akin which is napaka-imposible rin na mangyari kasi mas masungit pa siya sa babaeng may menstrual period.

I remembered , I just planned to visit instagram and stalk Yves. Pumunta ako sa profile ni Bella at chineck ang following niya. I searched 'Yves' at may isang lumabas.

His profile picture is him with his cute two cats. He is smiling geniunely at the camera while the cats have this serious looks on their faces. Gosh, they are so adorable. kaelvsqz is his username. Under his username is his full name in bold.

Yves Kael Cardona Vasquez.

Bella's middle name is also Cardona. So, magkapatid 'yung mother niya and si tita Sarah. I checked his bio and giggled with what I read.

A chef. A son. A father of two cats, Waffles and Ato.

I scrolled down to check his photos. Puro pagkain ang laman tapos iilan lang posts niya. But I saw one photo of him in his chef uniform. Its sleeves are rolled up to his elbows, revealing his firm forearms. It looks like he is finishing some touch on the platter. Nakaside view ito making the bridge of his nose more prominent, ang tangos. His hair is brushed up on the side but there are few strands na nalaglag sa noo niya. He looks so serious on the photo. I almost double tap the picture, unconsciously.

Nakarating ako sa pinakauna niyang post, a photo of him and probably his mom. They are seated on a white couch. His mom's face is so angelic. It's very obvious that he got most of his features from his mom. Pareho silang may eye dimples. Even the way their eyes shaped when they smile, it's very similar. I read the caption and it says there 'I love you.' and I felt a warm feeling. I miss my mom, too.

May mga photos din siya nina Waffles and Ato. His cats are black cat and siamese. Oh my gosh! Ang cutie. There's also two videos of his cats. The first one is tinatawag niya ang mga ito pero 'yong siamese lang pumunta which is I think si Waffles. I focused on his voice in the background. It sounds manly, lalo na 'yung tawa niya. His laugh is so geniune. Another is the video of him scolding them and suddenly showing his hands and arms that are full of scratches.

That made me laugh. I remembered our cats back in the Philippines. Inaalagaan nina mama at ng kapatid kong lalaki, si Sai. Mahilig kasi si Sai sa pusa kaya napamahal na rin ako. We tried getting one hanggang sa nagulat na lang kami ni mama, kung kani kanino humingi si Sai ng pusa kaya nadagdagan nang nadagdagan. As of now, we have eight cats in total.

Tinignan ko 'yung comment section and I saw Gwen's comment, isa rin sa mga kaibigan ko. She is also a Cardona and she's an actress. Sila lang close ko sa magpipinsan. Also Bryce, Bella's older brother pero isang taon lang agwat nila. He is a social butterfly kaya no doubt madali siyang pakisamahan. Tam, me and Bella are here in France but Bella's here for her upcoming play and of course, vacation na rin. She's a prodigy cellist and will later go back in New York. Gwendolyn is in the Philippines and she's an actress there.
