A new Leap

It was one of the most boring and tiring journey I ever had, there was Jacob who every second either tried to crack me up with his nonsensical jokes or give explanations. But my angry glares did not let him continue what he started, the flight landed on London as the entire co passenger started heading towards the airport. To be true their human blood smell did not bother me so much. As we stepped out of the airport, it was mid morning but the clouds were dark and the city looked foggy. I turned to Jacob and said in a cold tone

“I will be going directly to my school, so our journey ends here from here I am going to take over, Bye meet you after two months”

I got on the cab without bothering to look back at him as it drove cutting into the clouds. After two whole hours I finally reached there, I paid the driver his fair as I stood in front of the gate. The gate that opened to a huge campus, I got inside dragging in my luggage as I looked around, there were these five huge black and white buildings, a big playground, a basket ball court and to the other side of it was an enormous bungalow with a driveway filled with pine orchard on both the sides. It indeed looked marvelous; I pulled out my phone and checked in the map of the school and within no time I found the headmistress office. She was tall, middle aged lady with brown hair and the card on the table read “Mrs Anna Maria Samuels”. She had a stern face and a cold tone but that was not bothering me, what bothered me was her smell, it did burn my throat a little, I completed all my formalities as she gave the keys to my room and said that my uniform and books would be given to me by tomorrow morning, before leaving she asked me to  hand over my gadgets I did so and she seemed really impressed maybe because I gave it to her easily instead of being possessive about my laptop and phone, to be true I too wanted to part away with it. I walked out of the building and stood to the next building that was situated to the left of the compound. It was the girl’s hostel. I stood there looking completely lost as a girl with a British accent came up to me and asked me

“Do you need any help?”

“Yes, actually I am new here and quite confused about which way to go”

“Ok what the number is in scripted on your keys”

I looked at the keys and read out

“510 C now what does that means”

“Grab your luggage and follow me”

I took my luggage and followed her, as we climbed the stairs, the climbing seemed to have no end but finally reaching the last floor, the fifth floor we stopped. Then we walked passed long corridors and stopped near a room that read “510 C”. I turned to her and said

“Thank you for helping me out”

With a soft smile she replied

“No need to thank me, by the way I am Emma Woods and you”

“Oh I forgot to introduce myself I am Renessme Cullen”

“Nice to meet you re...nen..Me”

I could clearly see that she was having great difficulty trying to pronounce my name as I suggested her

“You can call me Renee.”

“Ok Renee it was great to meet you, I shall take your leave now it’s time for tea but you can stay over to settle your things”

I watched her going as I got inside my room; I looked around to see there was one single bed, with a wooden cupboard, a full length mirror, a study table and a book shelf. It was indeed kept clean as I placed my things in the room. Then I walked through the short, connecting corridor to the second chamber, it was my bathroom with a decent shower place and washing place. This was indeed one of the most porch hostels of England. I got a knock at my door as I opened elderly women probably the maid handed me over my uniform and my books, I thanked her and she smiled back warmly at me. I refreshed myself and changed into the grey tracks with pink borders and black vest accompanied by a grey jacket with pink borders, I tied my hair up in a pony tail as I went through the books. I was indeed disappointed I had already learned my lesson earlier; my Mom and Dad almost completed my M Phil’s in English in home itself this book looked like a base to me. I really did not much to do till dinner time so I quietly rested my head on the pillow and before I even knew itI had drifted away to sleep.
