"Why do we have to spend so much of our time in a cemetery?" Ingrid asked as she walked beside Finn and Esther.

"It is a source of great magic, now how close are you to discovering what the Claire witch is hiding?" Esther replied, not bothering to even glance at the brunette beside her.

"I'm as close to finding out what she's hiding as I am finding out why you're such a stone cold bitch," Ingrid answered, intent on hiding Davina's secret.

The young witch had grown on her in the time they'd spent together, not to mention that she'd also witnessed the effect Davina had on Kol... Although Ingrid was getting steadily more suspicious of Finn. He knew she already knew the secret, so why hadn't he told his mother?

"Have we received any response to our invitation?" the Original Witch asked her son, completely ignoring Ingrid.

"It did have quite the effect, both he and Elijah have been on the move all day," Finn explained.

"Of course, clever boys," Esther commented, stopping and turning toward her son. "Make sure you're ready for them this evening."

"I've handled everything exactly as you've instructed."

"I'd expect nothing less from you, Finn," Esther stated proudly, reaching up and stroking Finn's cheek.

"Wait, you're making this sound like only he's going to show up," Ingrid spoke up as Finn walked away, her brows furrowing in confusion as she turned toward the other witch.

"That is correct."

"No, I'm going. I need to see them, they need to know I'm alive!"

"No, you want them to know you're alive and you don't always get everything you want," Esther denied her, smiling cruelly at Ingrid before walking away.

"I hope Nik rips your bloody, insufferable head off!" the witch yelled after her, her anger rising with every breath she took.

How dare Esther take this away from her? The one moment Ingrid had been looking forward to, the one reason she'd been going along with her bloody plan! An idea came to her mind in that moment and she quickly pulled her phone out, dialing a number that she knew by heart.

"Hello?" Katherine Pierce's voice sounded from the other line. "Who is this?"

"Hey Katherine, it's Freya! Do you think we could go shopping tonight? I have this fancy dinner party to go to."

"Don't pout, brother, tonight is meant to be a happy occasion," Ingrid heard Finn say as she walked through the door.

"Speaking of happy occasions... Miss me?" she finally announced her presence, smirking at the shocked and angry look on Finn's face.
