"Brother! Niklaus!" Elijah yelled as he stormed into the room.

"You do realize that literally everyone here has supernatural hearing, right?" Hayley asked, walking up to the Original.

"I'm really starting to like her," Ingrid commented from where she was sitting across the room with Katherine.

As soon as he saw the doppelgänger Elijah placed a kiss on her forehead, making her smile up at him.

"Have any of you seen my brother?"

"I'll check his calendar, oh wait, not his wife," Hayley replied, making Ingrid let out another laugh.

"I have a feeling we'll be good friends, you and I," Ingrid said, throwing an arm around the hybrid.

"This is no time for your antics, this city is under siege by a pack of beasts following my mother's every command. Seeing as it is your people who just declared war on mine, I'd say it's not the time for your particular brand of... sass," the Original explained with one arm still around his girlfriend's waist.

"Nik left a while ago," Ingrid chimed in. "Why didn't you just call him instead of making a scene? I'm older than you and I still understand modern technology more."

"One more thing," Hayley added, crossing her arms angrily. "Those 'beasts' that you're referring to, they may be under Esther's control but like you said they're my people. So if you hurt them, your bitch mother will be the least of your problems."

"Have I mentioned how much I'm loving her?" Ingrid commented, taking a sip from her glass of wine.

"Somewhere out there, Blondie just got chills," Katherine joked, making Ingrid roll her eyes.

"It's nine o'clock in the morning," Elijah stated, staring pointedly down at the alcohol in the witch's hand.

"I've already tried, this is her third glass," Katherine remarked, resting her head against Elijah's shoulder.

"I'm drinking to fill the whole in my heart, left by not being able to see the love of my life. So, if you would ever so kindly bugger off," Ingrid explained, turning and walking away from the couple as she felt an ache start to form in her chest.

Ingrid was leaning against the railing when she heard hesitant footsteps come up next to her, pausing when they reached the balcony doors.

"So, you really are back," Kol said as he gave the witch a teary eyed smile. "I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have even been there. It was all my fa-"

"No, it wasn't," Ingrid cut him off, quickly pulling the Original into a hug. "None of that was your fault, it was theirs. It was the Gilberts, not you. You have nothing to be sorry for, Kol."

"I missed you so much."

"I missed you too. I heard you got yourself a girlfriend," Ingrid remarked, smirking up at him as she pulled away.

"Davina, she's... she's amazing," Kol stated, getting a wistful smile on his face as he thought about the witch.

"I also hear that she's gotten herself into quite a lot of trouble," she saw the hesitance on Kol's face as he thought about leaving and rolled her eyes. "Either you find her first or Nik does, so I suggest you get going. I'll be here when you get back."

With that Kol rushed toward where he knew his girlfriend was, leaving Ingrid standing on the balcony with a sad smile on her face.

"I miss you, Bekah..." the witch mumbled toward the sky as she took another sip from her glass, a single tear rolling down her cheek as she thought about the woman she loved.

"Wow, you really are turning into an alcoholic," Katherine commented as she leaned against the doorframe. "Are you okay?"

"Does it look like I'm okay, Kat?" Ingrid answered, spreading her arms out in answer. "I miss her and every day I'm not with her this whole in my chest grows. I can't go see her because Esther and her army of witches and werewolves would kill Hope. I just came back from the dead and I don't want the first time I see her to be over a Skype call, I want to hold her in my arms. I want to hold her in my arms, not in this random person's body!"

Tears were now freely falling down her face as she threw her glass against the wall, Katherine sidestepping the shattered glass as she came to stand beside her friend.

"I miss her so much..." Ingrid trailed off, her voice cracking as she cried.

"I know, I know. You'll see her soon, okay? It's going to be alright," Katherine consoled the woman as she cried. "We'll solve the whole Esther problem, get you back in your original body, and then you'll be all ready for a sappy reunion."

Ingrid wandered around the loft, looking at all the pictures that adorned the walls and shelves. A small smile came to her face as she saw one with her in it, an old photo framed as if it was a prized possession. Ingrid smiled at the photo of her and a young Marcellus. She was consumed by memories until she felt an arm wrap around her neck.

"Who are you and what are you doing here?" Marcel asked, his grip tightening on her neck.

"Marcellus, stop," Ingrid struggled, her voice coming out in a rasp.

"How do you know that name?"

"I better know it, I'm the one who bloody gave it to you."

Marcel's grip softened at her statement and his eyes widened as he stepped back, Ingrid gasping for air.

"Mom?"

"Hello, my little warrior," Ingrid greeted, smiling at the man she had called her son for so many years. "Sorry for the confusing face, my original one got a bit charred."

"You're back, you're really back," Marcel kept repeating the sentence as if he couldn't believe it, smiling with tears in his eyes as practically tackled Ingrid into a hug.

"I'm right here, sweet boy," the witch held the back of his head as she hugged him, letting the vampire hold on to her for however long he needed. "Now... Tell me everything you've been up to-"
