Chap 9 the dragons are taking a break

Once he left I smiled to myself albeit weakly but smiled nonetheless. Then broke out into a coughing fit nope I still have a fever. Once Lillie and joy walked in the nurse told me I would be fine tomorrow and that I should be thankful that I stopped when I did. Lillie on the other hand told me that she was sorry about 2 billion times and once she had stopped pestered me with questions I told her that I would tell her tomorrow when I wasn't sick she sighed but agreed and I slept like a snorlax

The next day

"Today class we will just battle each other the dragons will be getting a three week break and no ultras have been spotted either." he then got out a cabinet of weapons "I will be announcing the first battle Hau/Dexio choose wisely." Then he stood off to the side Dexio chose a metal spear and Hau chose himself, all Kahuna clans have elemental powers from what I hear he's mastered earth and is halfway there with air. Once they had gotten themselves situated Kukui yelled "BEGIN" Dexio struck first hau got a bit scratched but then with swift movements made Dexio's spear shoot into the ground instead of him. Before Dexio could comprehend what was happening hau went in for the final blow his hand covered in condensed. Dirt but Dexio dodged just in the nick of time and jabbed his spear into hau but before he could do it again hau shot his spear into the air. And as Dexio jumped to get it Hau unclenches his fist sending the spear down and Dexio with it.

Before Dexio hit the ground he placed his spear in front of him and jumped off of it only to come full speed into a wall of dirt Hau had crafted if that happened. As he was on the floor Hau pointed sharped rocks at him meaning Hau was the victor. After a second of that the dirt and rocks fell and Hau helped Dexio up only for Lillie to come barreling into him and hugging in congratulating him like she would never be able to do it again. Making him blush "Isn't this the part where you give him your consent." I teased "ha ha" he said sarcastically now as we looked over Lillie's face was also the color of a tomato berry. 

"Let's get on with the next battle Illima/Kiawe!" Shouted Kukui Kiawe grabbed a thick bow staff and Illima got three throwing stars. The battle should be fun what Kiawe lacks in speed and agility he makes up for with strength and endurance and vice versa with Illima. He went in first throwing all three stars two Kiawe had caught in his staff but one sliced his arm pretty deep but he just brushed it aside and charged at Illima but just as he's about to deliver a fatal blow Illima flipped over him grabbing a star out of the staf an launching it at Kiawe the artery that he was aiming for he missed but he thought he hit it so he stood up a bit smug until Kiawe charged at him catching Illima off guard and when he had picked up his last star and tried to throw it the star had gotten caught in the staff again. 

He had done the safest bet and tried to flip away again but Kiawe had the staff in the air and when he was sure it was Illima slammed it down with all his strength then grabbed Illima's head in his hands as if about to snap his neck until Kukui said "KIAWE is the victor!" And we heard "wow, go Kiawe" come from the door "Mallow, Mina?" "we were just heading to the bathroom and heard the sparing so we dicided to watch. "Congrats Hau and Kiawe" she said "do you wanna watch the next battle it's gonna be between Moon/Gladion!" He said "well now we have to stay" Said Mina "choose!" This is gonna be fun.

I grabbed two daggers and he got a katana blade "BEGIN!" Kukui called out and we were off. We circled around each other until both charging at the same time it was then I had realized that he was deadly with a sword. He looked for weak spots and found a lot of bruises to swipe at he had only slit through six but it lowered my stamina a lot. He's good, when he had cut the seventh bruise we both backed away from each other. I was a bit more wild not as calculating but that was just as good a method seeing as how the multiple slices weren't predicted.

He had gotten his fair share of cuts and bruises from me. He had run toward me too fast and as he backed me into a corner I threw my knife up in the air "I have you now" I heard him say "hey Gladbag ever heard of the phrase what comes up must go down." "wha?" that counts for confidence" the knife then struck him square in the shoulder and he hissed in pain dropping his sword. "Oh and the occasional sharp object falling from the sky" I smirked grabbing the katana "damn your good" "you too" I then ran foreword barreling into him. He had managed to pull out the dagger in the mass of tangled limbs I had managed to get a deadly grip on his shirt and a katana to his neck.

I smiled triumphantly until he had done the same but with a dagger I was on top of him with a sword to his neck and he was on the floor with a dagger to mine. We both tried to get out of each other's grips for three minutes until Kukui finally said "TIE!" I dropped my weapons my grip and myself so I was just laying on him it was weird, but nice" "are you going to roll off of me" "no to tired" "like hell you are" he scoffed pushing me off of him "think you can move yet?" I asked "nope" he answered "you both need to move if you want lunch" laughed Mallow "and you have to explain some things to me, the both of you do" Said Lillie. I think she was trying to look mean but she looked about as terrifying as a puppy so I just laughed and got up "come on Gladbag don't be a wimp" "Gladbag?" Asked Mallow "long story" I answered.

"I am not being a wimp, or have you just forgotten a knife slit my back open from 15 feet in the air" he scowled "it was 10 feet-okay that's not the point but I'll just help you walk" I smiled "fine" he sighed. I then let him lean half his body weight on me"See friendship in the works" I smirked "don't push it"  "your no fun gladi~" I said pretending to be Plumeria. "Where is she hid-oh it's just you, idiot don't scare me like that" "you can go toe to toe with me and tie but your scared of her. You really are a wimp, in some cases anyway" "a table, there!" Points an exited Hau "wait, Hau-" before I can get a sentence out I get mauled by to many girls to count "what is your business with Gladion?!"was the majority of the questions so I said.

"Me and Gladbag don't have any business!" "you gave him a nickname ?!" "Yeah, why? Is something wrong?" "yes!" Said most of the girls while others cried "let's just eat outside" sighed Sophocles. "I'm still confused" I said "let's go" said Gladion grabbing my wrist and pulling me out of the swarm of girls. We then walked outside and sat down to eat "great!" Said Lillie "now tell me why you told Gladion to stay while half asleep?" I almost chocked on the apple I was eating "I did that?!" "Yeah" Said Gladion "I thought you knew, or at least she told you." "Well she didn't" I mumble "why did you ask to talk with him alone?" "Well umm I'm lunalan and team skull and are we friends no wait I, didn't say that umm" my face got increasingly red from embarrassment and anger but the smug gazes didn't help with anything I found it very annoying until someone pulled my cheeks.

"Who are you?" Gladbag asked "Moon of the lunalan clan" "good" "what are you here for?" "protecting artifacts" "what artifacts?" "The sun elixir and the moon elixir" he then let go of my cheeks. "Are you guys still her friends even though she never told you her true clan to try and protect you all?" they all nodded eyes wide "any questions" "is it normal for sixteen year olds to keep sacred and dangerous artifacts where you live?" Asked Lillie "yes this is how we show how  capable we are for other missions in the future I'm keeping them safe undercover or so I thought" I said "you guys aren't mad?"I asked "No just surprised" Said illima. "Thank you I thought team skull might have known about me so I kept it a secret from you on top of that being my orders from the clan leader" they asked me more questions and I answered them truthfully.

"Poor thing" Said Mallow hugging me "friends are great" "gladbag?" "Yeah" "can I place my lips on your cheek I want to show how grateful I am to you that was how my parents showed it while they were together and no one bothered to teach me anything so I think that's how" I said walking up to him. "That's called a kiss and hell no" so then I have to do it the way I do it to my brother so I hugged him "thank you so much for helping me get out a sentence." "Your, welcome?" He then put his hand on my head and pet it but at the same time pried me away from him and walked away to the nurses office because he could do that now. "Bye!" I said to the rest of them walking to the dorm with Lillie once we had gotten in she said "you know hugging is something people in relationships do right" "well duh but I did that to my brother so it can't be that intimate and I'm sure your going to say we were blushing but I'm not that used to being that close to someone and seeing as how reserved he can be I'm sure he isn't either plus even if we were we weren't as red as you and Hau. I laughed as she squeaked and jumped into her bed on her side of the room.
