Ninja stars continued

Chap 12 training

Once I had woken up I did a normal daily routine you know freshen up comb my short hair and throw knives at the wall. But here's the thing they don't have a wall dedicated to nothing but daggers and throwing stars. So I had to find a big enough tree to throw at and as I was about to go out I noticed Lillie she seemed to be watching Hau as he trained. Yet the smile that was on her face was sad so I grabbed her arm, and when she asked where we were going I refused to tell her. I told her to wait outside and grabbed the wooden crossbow as well as the metal arrows and we started off to find a tree. We did eventually find one after walking for ten minutes Lillie then puffed her cheeks "now can you please tell me what we're here for?"

I turned to her and smirked and threw a knife at a tree but got a bit offset when it got knocked off course by a katana. "You should pay more attention to your surroundings" said a certain black clothed ninja. "Well sorry I didn't think anyone would be following me at seven in the morning" I huffed. "Moon be realistic all of us were up at five" he sighed "whatever, anyway let's train together" I smiled. "How? I don't even have a, huh?" Said Lillie as I passed her the crossbow "so that's what you grabbed it for" Said Gladion "yep" I sighed bending over to pry my knife from the ground. I then threw it into the middle of the tree and took it out "Now, shoot that in the exact same spot" I told her

"O-okay" she said fumbling with it a bit before figuring the mechanism out she breathed in and out and shot it. It went into the side of the tree at least a foot away "I completely missed" she said "I can see that" sighed her brother stepping behind her. He then grabbed her arm and moved it into the correct position "the arrow level was at the right hight you just needed to move your arm over a little and maybe instead of standing up like a stick." He then moved into a kneeling position with an imaginary crossbow in his hands "try a position more like this." She nodded and moved her arm over about six inches and got into a position as if she was about to propose. And shot the arrow and it went straight into the point I had stabbed she paused for a second before saying "I...did it" she then smiled "did you see that I hit it, I hit it." Gladion then chucked "let's not celebrate too quickly we still have to practice more"

"Oh right" she smiled shyly "I forgot" so the next three hours went on like that me stabbing everywhere I could reach on the tree with her trying to shoot at them and Gladion helping her posture that became less and less as time went on. After the three hours I needed water the heat really was unbearable "I'm gonna go get something to drink you guys want anything?" I asked "I have to ask Hau something so I'll just come with" said Gladion "iced tea and a lot of water" Said Lillie as we both started to walk. "Your sister complex is kind of adorable" I said "I don't have one" he said with a straight face "what are you going to ask Hau about?" "You caught me." He sighed "I remember when my brother still lived with me he was the exact same way, being protective just shows that you care about her so it's a little bit embarrassing but not that embarrassing." "So I should still not like to talk about it. You give the most wonderful pep talks" I pushed him a little "like yours was any better" "true." I sighed a bit "you really are a good big brother though, you must tell her happy birthday every year too right?" I then put my hand over my mouth I can't believe I let that slip out "yeah, why?" 

"Uhh well my birthday is next month" "December, right?" "Yeah but it's on the twenty fifth so not even my parents said happy birthday Eilo did though but not every year, so, sorry it just came out of my mouth before I could stop it." "That's fine" he said then walked off to find Hau and I got all of the drinks we needed I waited for about five minutes until he walked out of a hallway followed by a laughing Kiawe and a confused yet shaken up Hau. "What did you say to him?" I asked "that's better left unsaid" "let's just go back I sighed" "wait you guys are training together?" "No" I said at the same time as he said "yes" then after that I said "yes" at the same time he said "no." "Kind of" we said at the same "what is that supposed to mean?" Asked Kiawe "we'll tell you later" we both said in sync again then left. After we had walked for about five minutes he cursed under his breath I rolled my eyes and threw a can of pop at him "think fast" he caught it without even looking up "thanks." we then got back to Lillie who had actually  stabbed the tree while I wasn't there not as deep and as we walked and saw had it looked like she had just hit her third one.

"I did it by myself this time!" She smiled "I'm so happy, thank you so much Moon and you too big brother" she then gave the both of us a hug. "Oh thank you for the drinks Moon, oh and Gladion what did you talk to Hau about" he gave the exact same answer he gave me,"that's better left unsaid" she blinked at him for a second but let it slide. I laughed so hard and so loud I was sure my own clan could hear me but I didn't care I just laughed until I was out of breath. "You done?" Asked a pissed Gladion "give me a sec" I said and laughed one more time "now I'm done." "Your insufferable" he sighed "I know" I smirked "you should" he said "should we go back to the house?" Asked Lillie "right after I just brought like a gallon of water for you? Oh I mean uhh sure" although I probably should have said no I didn't know what that simple sentence could do to me.
