Arthur's return

Movies

Arthur had been thinking all day of how to cheer merlin up, he still wasn't used to this new time so he found it difficult but then he remembered this thing that merlin had shown him called a tv, he had shown him how to watch movies on Netflix and Disney+ or how to watch the news on live tv. Arthur was still not 100% sure how to work it but he was confident that he could figure it out.

After a few hours of pressing buttons Arthur had managed to get up hercules on disney+, he didn't really know what it was about but he saw a sword and clicked. He then walked into the kitchen to find what merlin called popcorn, Merlin had said to him that it's what people eat when they watch movies so he tried to make some, he read the instructions on the packet and opened the microwave, it took him 20 minutes to work out how to use the microwave and got jumped every time the popcorn popped but after the timer went off he picked out the bag which was super hot and poured the popcorn into a bowl.
After he had set everything up on the sofa like blankets and cushions and turned off the lights he walked slowly towards merlins room, he could hear merlins music but was still sort of confused how a band can fit into a tiny device called a phone, he knocked but merlin didn't answer so he slowly opened the door and saw merlin sat on the floor next to his bed with tears rolling down his face. Arthur knew that this must be a lot for merlin to take in so instead of asking merlin if he was ok he grabbed merlins hands and stood him up. Merlins legs were wobbly because of the crying and he struggled to stand up so arthur picked him up and carried him into the living room and placed merlin onto the sofa.
Merlin had a face of disbelief and was staring at everything arthur had done for him, Arthur sat down next to him and smiled. He had pressed play on the movie when merlin realised its was hercules he giggled and Arthur turned towards him and looked at him "I'm guessing you chose hercules because there was a sword in the cover?" Arthur blushed "well maybe, but you can't blame me for wanting to find something familier" they both laughed for a while until their stomachs hurt. Merlin shuffled a little closer to arthur and hoped he didn't realise but Arthur had and shuffled closer as well until they were both leaning on each other, Merlin sighed and snuggled into Arthur with a blush on his face "sorry but it's more comfy this way, I can move if you are uncomfortable" "NO! No uh don't it's nice I don't mind" Arthur nervously rubbed the back of his neck.

They were enjoying the movie until arthur noticed merlin was blushing again but he didn't know why until he turned his attention back to the screen and saw the song 'i won't say I'm in love' was playing but he still didn't understand why merlin was blushing so he decided to ignore it.
It wasn't until the end of the movie when Arthur realised merlin had fallen asleep on him , Arthur himself was tired and decided it was best not to move. He reached over merlin and dragged a blanket on top of them and snuggled into merlin more, Arthur didn't understand why he wanted to snuggle up to merlin but wasn't complaining.
